Hey all
My family and I are going to the Poly in Oct. We have a 6 yr old girl and an 8 yr old boy. We will be staying for 4 days/nights and will be going to Universal for the next 3 days/nights. If you could give just us one tip, what would it be.

To a Mickey's Halloween Party. And dress up! It's so fun. We went in Sept/Oct of 2012 and had so much fun. There are rides that are running (some are shut down), candy given out, a special parade, and a Villian show on front of the castle. The tickets are expensive, buy cut a corner somewhere else. IMO don't waste precious time in line to see the seven dwarves. The line is just too much.

We are going in October as well.
How much does this cost? Can you purchase the tickets online before going or is it only available at the park gates?

You can purchase ahead of time which is highly recommended as they sometimes sell out. The cost range is $60 - $75 for adult and $55- $70 for child.

Staying the Poly gives you the chance to watch the fireworks every night. We had a room that faced MK and could heard the music plain as day. or should I say night LOL

One other tip. It will be HOT so dress accordingly.

I agree. the party is awesome. You may even get an "extra day" from it. The party tickets allow entrance to the park at 4:00 then the party starts at 7. You don't have to use a regular park admission to access the party.

Don't go to Scream Nights at Universal. I haven't been, but read/hear they are for teens & blood/gore themed. Could be terrifying to your 6 & 8 year old.
Mickey's Halloween Party is fun. Be aware lines are still long, even though it is a separate ticketed event. Bring costumes for the kids if you go---so fun to trick-or-treat in costume at Magic Kingdom. You adults can wear costumes too, many do, so you wont be uncomfortable.

Check out the Pirates League- it really is so fun! A little extra but a great experience and you will have priceless photos. The pirate choice is especially good, imo...

Definitely hit Food & Wine, but not on weekend nights. :goodvibes

You can peruse menus ahead of time to have an idea of what foods you might like to try!

Following this! We will be there Oct 13-18 with our 4 kids too. 8, 8, 6, and 3
