Hello!

I have been to WDW about 10 times, but never the first weekend in November. I was curious as to how crowded it usually is at this time of year. It is actually the NJ Teacher's convention weekend, and I know Cast Members call this "NJ Weekend" in WDW. We are taking my grandmother for the first time ever and I want to be sure I know what to expect. Also, would you suggest us doing the dinner before Fantasmic so we have a seat? My grandmother will be in a wheel chair, but is able to walk very small distances. If we had the "reserved" seating from the dinner/show combo., is that better than where we'd sit w/ a wheelchair? I have seen Fantasmic several times, so I really only have my Grandmother's best interest at heart. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I like November in general because the weather is great.

Friends of ours went during Jersey Week last year and they said they were able to do and see what they wanted to. There are always crowds at WDW, but less heat makes waiting in line much easier.

In all our trips to WDW, we have yet to see Fantasmic, so we are opting for the dinner package this year. No way am I going to wait in line 2 hours. Can't answer the question about better seating with the wheelchair. You might ask on the DISabilities Board.

Have a magical time  and welcome to the DIS!

Jersey week is not that crowded. It's bearable. The only problem that you may run into is finding a flight to Orlando from Philadelphia or Newark. If you're from another part of the country, no problem.

I LOVE November in Disney! I think we are arriving on the tail end of Jersey week so I'm not too concerned - I believe at it's height the crowds don't even compare to other higher attendance days! Also, barbeml - we always make Fantasmic our last night ritual - you don't have to wait in line for 2 hours. You can arrive early & get your seat & wait. We move around some too - DH or I will stay at the seats & the rest of us will walk around to the cart vendors, bathroom, get a drink etc... plus it's fun to watch the crowd, do the wave etc... That being said this will be the first year we've been there that they've offered the dinner package so just to make it more of a last nite celebration we might just book one ourselves!
Have a magical time!

thanks for the input! By the way, our flight has been booked since the spring... :) so we ARE ago for WDW!!! WOO HOO!!!

PS, My Mom uses a scooter. The wheelchair seating is right alongside the "reserved." My Mom had a great view. We also arrived an hour early, though. If you spring for the meal-deal, perhaps you don't need to come as early? ANother nice thing about the HC seating is that it is close to the bathrooms. You can leave your seat to use the ladies room before the show! :)

The wheelchair accessible seating for Fantasmic is the whole back row of the theater. The row right ahead of that is for the families of those in wheelchairs and those with disabilities who don't have wheelchairs/scooters.
As you come in to the theater, the first section (far right compared to the stage) is marked off for the dinner shows. The back row is the handicapped area for the dinner show groups.
So, you would be off to the side if you do the dinner show and could possibly be more toward the center if you don't.
DH and I just got back from a "no kids" trip to WDW. We went in about 1 hour early, but as others mentioned, there is a snack bar, bathrooms, etc. to use while waiting. People were also doing the "wave", chants and there was Disney music playing during the wait time.
