Well, just found out that I may have the chance to go to the world in May. We have our trip planned in Novemeber but when you get the chance you take it! I have never been in May and was just wondering what the weather and the crowds are like.
Thanks to anyone who can share info.

We've always gone between May 9 - May 18. The weather is usually great. Never had rain. Temperatures in upper 80's. Although in 2001 we had a heat wave and there wasn't a day under 90.

Always found the crowds to be great. Very few wait times and the longer waits you can always fastpass. (some of the larger rides and shows)

We love this time to go.

lizzie64, you took the words right out of my mouth. (or in this case keyboard!)

May is our favorite time, wether & crowd wise.

We will be there this May from the 11th through 17th.

...on a hunch, I'd say that May may be relatively light in attendance this year. With the economy, and the war, I think families are sticking closer to home.

We've been twice in May, and loved it. Mornings are on the cool side, but warm up quickly. And many of the attractions are up and running, and you can take full advantage of the water parks (which you might not want to do in November!)

Enjoy!!

paults,

Are the flower and garden concerts, 60's and 70's music, free as long as you have a park pass to Epcot or are they a separate fee? Thanks!

THe concerts are free. One of our most favorite things to do in the evenings at EPCOT in the spring. We will be there May 3-17 this year.

We'll definitely have to check those out. We'll be there from May 9-May 18th.

We too are going in May, from the 8th thru the 17th. Great time of year to go, between the weather, crowds, and the flower show. Can't wait for this year!! Less than 60 days to go!!

Us too!!!! We love May-great weather, moderate crowds, very few bugs. Apr 30-May10 this time.

You will enjoy that time in May. We will be at Poly from 5/15-19. This will be our fourth trip in May. Worst trip--Memorial weekend--would never do a week around this weekend ever. Too busy. All our other trips have been between the 2nd-3rd week (a full week before the holiday) and it's been great. We were there last May and it was quite warm (hi 80's/low 90's). I never really felt it was "cool" either early morning or late evening (unless it rained). The crowds were not bad either. Certainly much more thinned out first thing in the morning. The only day we found very busy was the usual Saturday especially Saturday night.

Besides the flower show (which is awesome) and the concerts (my kids still can't believe I listened to some of that music) you will also have Star Wars weekends if you are going after the 16th.

You'll have an awesome time!

May is Great we love it and are going that time this year. We have been before in May and found it to be a great time.
Can't wait.:bounce: :smooth: :o :p

WOW! May sounds like the perfect time to go. I am really excited about the concerts as well, and I know my DD will say the same thing, "You know that song?" It will be nice to just kick back and enjoy the music.
Thanks to everyone for sharing this information with me.

im going in may this year too. 17th-25th. First time going in may. I am also going in may of 2004 too since i bought annual passes:)

May 16-26th for us. Late April/May is out favorite time of year. Unfortunately going a bit later than usual this year related to family plans, but it will still be great!

I can't believe I am missing Davy Jones by one day...UGH!!! Maybe he has to bring Marcia to the prom again!!! Is Starship as in Jefferson Airplane/Starship?

I wish we could go in May every year. We've done the first week in May twice, 1999 and 2002. Took the kid out of school, but can't do that easily anymore since she's in mid-school. May is fantastic! Warm weather, low crowds, not too much rain. Went first week in September once. Hardly anyone in the parks, but so much rain! I'd pick May any year. Diana

I am going for the first time this year in May - thanks for the info!

I see you got some good info. My dw and I will be at VWL 4/30 to 5/2 then move to our home DVC at BWV on 5/3 to 5/9.

!!! Is Starship as in Jefferson Airplane/Starship?
