I made all my ARD's about 3-4 weeks ago, and luckily got dinner at CRT for our last night. Of course they needed my credit card number to hold our reservation. I told them that we were on the DDP and they said that we wouldnt get charged that it is just to hold your spot. Well my credit card bill came today and i have a $99.00 charge on it from disney dining. Has anyone else had this problem and what should i do?? please help!!!!!!!!!

I would just call the 407.WDW.DINE number and explain what happened, if you're on the dining plan then they shouldn't have charged you, we are doing CRT and on the dining plan and I haven't been charged...the CM may have just clicked a wrong button or something, just call them I'm sure they will process the refund. Good Luck!

The same thing happened to me. You should not have been charged. Call and they will reverse it.

I wonder how many people don't even notice the erroneous credit card charge. I suppose it is an honest mistake, and they refund the charged amount, but Disney still does get to "play the float"...
In a perfect world, customers would get that refund + interest. Yeah, I know it's not a lot, but the cc companies love to charge you per day every time *they* can.

agnes!

Any credit card purchase is a "float". The charges go through at the end of every day. As a customer, you don't get to see them on your bill until the end of the month. Unless you go online and check your balance which is the way most credit card companies are going. No more paper. Mistakes like this happen all the time in every kind of business so it's not just Disney/

This is a simply fix - just call Disney Dining and they can refund your money and change you over to the DDP. Refunds can take up to 7-10 days to process.

I had the same thing happen to me and the charge was reversed. Annoying but nothing huge.

You are going to have to call and tell them you are on the dining plan and shouldn't have been charged - try and confirm that they don't cancel your ADR by mistake while they're fixing it.
