going in May 2007, when I can make ressies?

I am not going until May of 2007. How soon can I make reservations? Do I have to wait until 2007 rates come out, or will AAA or Disney directly make the reservations anyway? I had a trip planned for this May, but had to cancel because of my husbands job. I can't remember how early I was able to make the reservations .

I want to make the reservations a.s.a.p. so my kids have some definate dates, hotel, etc. to look forward to !!

I was able to book our "room only" reservation thru AAA about 2 months ago. Our trip dates are May 30- June 7, 2007. My agent will change our "room only" reservation to a package with the dining plan as soon as Disney releases the 2007 packages. I'm told that should be sometime in late June.
So, yes you can book your 2007 "room only" reservation with Disney or AAA now. I hope this helps!!!

A few months ago I booked our rooms for March 24-31st. I also got my hopper passes just in case the price went up for 2007. Now I am consantly checking the airfare. yes it is still too early. not sure exactly when I will be able to book that. I highly doubt they will have the free dining when we go.

There's no way I would get such a wonderful deal like the free dining. I just don't have that kind of luck!!! The waiting is just awful. I don't know what I would do if it weren't for the boards here on the DIS to help pass the time. At least I will have some company as I wait!!!

We always book early. But keep an eye on the pricing for your rooms. If the price goes down you can call and change your reservation to the lower price. Also, I have heard but never done this, that the airlines will also provided you with a lower price. Just a thought. Have a great time.

What about a July 2007 reservation at this point? Is that possible? Also, I see you mentioned you can book through Disney or AAA...what if I choose to book through another travel agency? Can I do that this early?

I booked CSR for Easter week 2007 (actually booked 3/31/07 to 4/14/07)
I will decide on which days to give up once some discounts come out.

Our actual vacation would most likely be 4/4/07 to 4/14/07.

SWA tickets about 6 months before - so it would be about Sept 2006 for airline tickets,

You get rack rate - then AA rates will be out by the end of 2006.
To get AP rates - well maybe just a month or two before.
A bunch of us are still waiting for WDW to release dates past June 3rd. for June/July/Aug 2006

Also hints - WDW does black out dates around holidays - so no discounts.
But my kids are out of school for Holy Thursday and Good Friday, So we will arrive the day before Holy Thursday, Wednesday 4/4/07 to snag the AP discount (or AAA discount).

We are going next May too and it is driving me crazy. I am such a planner (hotels, flights, etc {just not daily schedules!!}). I can't stand to know about the trip but then just sit and wait till all the prices come out and we can start booking everything and all that other fun stuff!

sorry, i have been away from my computer for a few days!! How exciting that we have a thread started with some people for May 2007!!!!!! I went to Liberty travel at my local mall over spring break. I just wanted to see what brochures I could get and see what they would tell me as far as reserving for next year. She told me that it would be Mid-June before I could make any ressies. So then I asked her about my AAA discount, if I booked through her if I could still get my AAA rate. She told me to get my quote from AAA and get it in writing and bring it to her and she would match it. I started thinking "why would I give you the business if you are just going to match it? I would just make the ressies with AAA" so it sounds like I am going to just use my AAA travel agent.

I can't stand how excited I am!!!!!!! If anyone gets a reservation, let us know on here!! I am thinking about figuring out my dinner reservations and making them soon too

I am pretty sure we will be staying at POFQ, but still may end up staying at one of the Values, not sure which yet. I was spoiled the last time and stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Only got that because they closed POFQ for renovations a month before we went so we got upgraded to deluxe for like 200 bucks more for the week

We're planning on May 17-26, which is a week after my graduation ceremony from nursing school. The actual dates may change slightly, but that's about when we want to go. We may have to wait til the kids get out of school (I have no problem with them missing the last couple of days as long as they haven't had excessive absences throughout the year, since they really don't do much at all those last couple of days). I want to try to miss the bulk of Memorial Day weekend but it won't bother us much if we are there for the holiday - we survived the week of July 4th last year LOL


We'll stay at POR AB again because there's 5 of us and because we loved it last July. You can start booking your ADRs 180 days out now, which is great. When I went last year, we had to wait til 90 days out and it was killing me LOL But of course that is still 6 months away!

We will absolutely do the meal plan again and we definitely plan to return to Boma and Ohana. DH and I would love a meal alone at California Grill this time. We loved Crystal Palace for breakfast so we may do that again. I'd like to try Chef Mickey's character meal though and I really don't want to use up two table service meals on breakfast... So many decisions to make We really enjoyed RFC (out of pocket) in DTD too. We may try Liberty Tree Tavern. We're also considering Le Cellier, 50s Prime Time Cafe, Whispering Canyon, and Boatwright's in POR.

We did the carriage ride last year and loved it but decided to likely skip it this time. We will rent a pontoon boat again, as that was a highlight (the kids all got a turn driving and loved it).

I just cannot wait and get so excited thinking about it. It is keeping me from my schoolwork, which is a bad thing LOL

We are thinking May 1 - 8 or 2 through 9. I'm thinking of leaving and returning on a Tues or Wed. The flights seem to be cheaper for those days. This will be our first ever trip and I can't wait. I was thinking just this morning that it is exactly 1 year from now Too faaaaaaaaaaaar away!!

You can book your hotel whenever you want. This will hold the room for you. The rate you will be given is based on this years prices and not guaranteed for next year. You will pay the difference when the new rates are in. Rates usually go in sometime in the summer, but many people book from year to year so they know they have their rooms held. Prices go up every January, but never drastically. The only thing you cannot book yet are packages, as those are not in the system yet. Getting your room secured is the main thing, you can always add your package later...

I was just telling my kids this morning that it is exactly ONE YEAR FROM TODAY that we will be going to Disney!! May 3-11 2007. It is a LONG ways away, but at least we broke that one year marker.

It is killing me to wait until June, which is when my AAA agent told me to call back and try to make ressies. Just too darn excited

Dine reservations can be made 180 days out..exception Hoop Dee Doo Review, Luau can be booked up to 2 years in advance and Cirque Du Soleil can be booked 6 months out...
