Going in June and getting BCV 7 mos out

Hi,
You've all given me lots of good info in the past so maybe you can help me now.
Since the kids are getting older, we need to go when school is out. I was thinking June 17th to 24th, 2005. I know it will be much hotter than we are used to, but what about the crowds? And the rain-is that a rainy time of year?
We own at OKW so I will be making ressies there for now, but my family really wants to stay at BCV so we can spend some time at SAB and be close to EPCOT. We are getting a 2bdrm, what is the chance I'll be able to switch at 7 mos? When I try should I do it day by day?

I'm kinda in the same boat, but the reverse. We're going July 17-July 22nd (5 nights), I REALLY would like a 3BR Villa at OKW, but am going for a 2BR and studio at our home, BCV.

I'm kind of in the same boat as well! We want to go in August, but to conserve points for other reservations, we're going for SSR, OKW or BWV-SV (I realize that's probably hopeless, but I have to ask!)

If it makes you feel any better, the first year we had points to spend, we decided at 6 mos. to book BCV (our home resort) and got a 1 bedroom for the 3rd week of August. I guess it's all about trying and keeping options open to work with!

A couple of you should really consider trading points for this trip. A couple of years ago I traded with a HHI owner for my BWV points. We both made reservation for each other at 11 months. It worked out well for both of us.

I guess I'm just trying to find out if this is a busy time of year and what i'm thinking about is impossible or not. I tried checking the member website to see how many 2 bedrooms there are at BCV, but I didn't see that info.
I personally love OKW and how big the rooms are. My DH and kids just want to be in the middle of the action.

I guess we're not the only one's in this situation!



I'm already past the 11 month window for my trip-DH didn't want to discuss the trip until after summer vacation-I hope there is still availibility for my back up reservation at OKW!

The period you are looking for is after southern schools are out but a lot northern schools are still in session for another week. I think as long as you make your OKW reservations now and call at exactly 7 months, you will get what you want. Call on day one and ask how it looks. If you need to call day by day, you will be able to do it. At least by locking in your OKW reservations, you will be safe.

I just love planning our trips-we get out of school June 10, so the kids will have a week to get revved up about the trip!

We had no problem switching our June 2003 reservations from OKW to BCV at 7 months. It was for a 1 bedroom. We also just did a switch from OKW to BCV for christmas week for this year at 7 months! That was a real shocker..just tried it to be closer to Epcot MGM area for the busy week. Sounds like we always move from OKW, but that's not true..its our home resort and we love it!

When the time comes, you might as well wait-list for both BCV and BWV. Every resort has cancellations, so the wait-list often works.

As for the parks, well, they'll be hot but at least they'll be crowded. On the other hand, they'll be open late hours and you'll really love them at night. In any case, it will be great weather for having accomodations within walking distance of two parks, so you can avoid bus system at the end of the day.
