Southwest had fares from Providence for $70 in July so I jumped on it. I wasn't planning a trip for another year but couldn't pass up the price! I guess its time to start planning!! :thumbsup2

Wow, that makes it almost dangerous to be a DVC member. I keep finding these airlines have specials. Hope it continues and hope I have enough points :yay:

Kayak has become my favorite website. We decided to come down this summer and put in "alerts" for several arrivals/departures. One day my wife called me on my phone, which I thought was weird since we were both in the house. She called me because I was upstairs and she didn't want to risk leaving the computer in case the deal disappeared (strange but true reasoning!). After weeks of seeing prices mainly in the $260-300 range, she found a ROUND trip price of $160 from Philadelphia. We purchased it immediately.

If any of you haven't used Kayak, my recommendation is to be a bit flexible with your dates and departure time. If possible, be flexible with your airports and # of stops. Finally, relax a bit and give yourself a few weeks to find the best possible fare. I found that they went up and down every day. The $160 fare that we purchased was never in their system for the first two weeks that we looked, and it has never appeared since. I am glad we were patient, but I am also glad that we jumped on it when we had the chance.

The most valuable thing I learned from going last July- make sure you have the app that tells you wait times for lines. This will help you avoid the HUGE Brazilian tour groups. I have nothing against Brazil or tour groups for that matter but when 100 young women get on one ride at the same time I personally dont want to be the gal behind all of them. I just kept up with my app and ducked and dodged. This was way more important than staying hydrated even...lol

Agreed. I, too had nothing the Brazilian groups behavior..but WDW was designed for small groups walking in random order, large, organized groups are not natural behavior.

I hope the OP's trip was as pleasant as mine the first 2 weeks of July. I had a 10 min walk on to PP one night. TSM FP's were still being distributed at 4pm another night.
And the 85-95 temps were downright pleasant compared to the 100+ the Midwest was stuck with ;)

I'll be there in July too for 10 days! First time for the 4th. Also headed to a water park with my PAP.:cool1: Treating my sister and her family to a two bedroom villa at OKW with me and my daughter in a one bedroom. First time at OKW and looking forward to my stay.::yes::

i'll be there in July as well!!!!

Me too! Heading for water parks with the DVC PAP!

PAP's! YES! I have to order those by the end of the year! I want to take the kids to DQ and one of the water parks too.

My guess is everyone has the same scheduling issues as I do... significant other is a teacher or kids are school age.

We're staying at AKV JH but I'm hoping for BCV at 7 months. fingers crossed!

:thumbsup2
