As of right now I have a December 16th 2005 date in mind. I was thinking of summer, but I just don't like the heat.

It has been a few years since I have gone. Where do I start?! Thanks

We will be there Dec 15 to the 23. You might want to go ahead and book your hotel, The 90 + 10 ADR date for your dates will be this Saturday. You will need a confirmation # to book your ADR for the length of your trip. I can't wait we have been planning this trip since we got back from our trip in Feb! Well, see ya there!

Ok so I also am going in december. But since Im new here all those things you just said went right over my head. What is that 90 day thing and so forth. If you wouldnt mind explaining the last post for me. Thank so much!

If you are planning on dining at any of the parks or resorts you can make Advanced Dining Reservations 90 days before your trip. This is not a traditional "reservation" but basically gets you seated in your selected restaurant before walk-ins. At busy times of the year if you just walk into the restaurant you can run the risk of waiting quite a while for a table. When exactly in Dec are you going?

Well we will be spending the week of christmas in sebring at a family villa. But my goal is to go out to orlando for a couple of nights with my daughter. So right now i probably will be there around 12/26 - 12/28.

I would firm up transportation plans before booking the hotel. You may find that flying in on a different day may be cheaper. Dec 16th is a Friday and a popular day to travel to Orlando. You may find that you get better airfare prices for Dec. 15th instead. Thursdays are much less heavily traveled. Once you have the air travel set, then you can book the hotel.

That is a busy time so you might want to think about booking something soon. You will be able to make ADRs around the 26th of this month. Any other questions feel free to ask. Welcome to the Dis!!

Well our transportation is all set we fly into orlando 12/23 and out of tampa 1/3. I know i need to get our room booked for the few days in orlando soon i dont want to miss out. Since we are only staying for 2-3 days are there any deals with meals for that short of time? Thanks for all the help.

Definately book hotel ASAP and make your dining reservations at your 90 day mark, +10 days if you are staying onsite.

MVMCP (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) will be going on on December 16, 18 and 20. These are the last three days of the party. Don't know if you know about this or not but it is a separate ticket event starting at 7:00 pm in the MK (you can actually get in at 4:00 with a ticket). Basically the park closes at 6:00 (although you do not have to leave) and reopens at 7:00 and there are special Christmas shows, parades, fireworks and it snows on Main Street. Definately something worth doing.

Epcot has the Candlelight Processional. A Disney tradition now in its 35th year (2005), the Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in readings by a celebrity narrator and music by a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra. Narrator - Marlee Matlin Dec 19-21 - To Be Announced Dec 22-27. This event takes place in the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase in Epcot. It is an outdoor (uncovered, not climate controlled) setting and is not cancelled due to inclement weather. It is recommended you dress accordingly. There are 3 shows nightly 5:00, 6:45 and 8:15. Make sure to stay for IllumiNations - which is at 9:00 each night in Epcot on the lake. Last year they had a special holiday version. At the end of the show they play "Let there be peace on earth" and did a wonderful fireworks show to the music. I do not think there was a dry eye in the place. They did this the whole month of December. Epcot not only has beautiful holiday displays, but also acknowledges the multicultural diversity that makes up our planet by sponsoring "holiday storytellers" in each pavilion around World Showcase. When you enter Epcot you can get a schedule of all the storytellers. Basically it is a short (10 to 15 minute) show in each country about how they celebrate the holidays. When each show is over they stay around for pictures and autographs. We used the picture with Mr and Mrs Clause from the American Adventure as our holiday card last year.

The afternoon parades in MGM and AK are Christmas themed. Another definate to do is visit the different Disney hotel (especially the Deluxe Resorts. Grand Floridian has a life size Gingerbread house in the lobby and a beautiful tree. Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge are also decorated beautifully. The Boardwalk has an replica of an amusement park made out of candy and chocolate and the Beach Club has a carousel made out of chocolate.

Besides all the above - enjoy the parks. They are decorated for the holidays. We went last year the first week in December and the park was pretty empty. As you get closer to Christmas the park does get busier. Have a wonderful time and sorry if this is so long but the holidays at Disney is just about my favorite thing.

Ditto about all the special holiday decorations . . . and don't forget the Osbourne Lights at MGM! They're amazing, really magical -- and I'm not even the sort of person who usually goes for the whole flashy Christmas-lights kinda thing, but they're irresistable.

I would like to go to the Christmas Party. When can I start calling and at what number? Thanks

I bought my tickets from Discount Orlando Vacation and they were able to accept my order although I waited till the last minute. They delivered my tickets to my hotel and they were at the front desk in a manila envelope and it was for just $10. That was my own fault that I had to pay the extra $10 because I didn't order them ahead of time to receive them in the mail for free. I would recommend them to anyone I know and I know I will use them in the future.

YIKES! I'm going the 13-17th- my ADR's start today! I forgot!!!!!

What # do I call? HELP! Thanks!
