can we walk in to most places? Last time we went I agonized over PS and when we got there the 2 we went to were seating walkins!! I just wondered if this was a fluke? We would like to do Liberty tree and Prime Time, and maybe a few others
What do you think? I really hate being tied down to a set time!

If you are flexible about meal times, restaurants and don't mind waiting occasionally, you shouldn't have trouble finding a good place to eat even if you do not make PS ahead of time. There may be times when you will not want to wait for your first choice of restaurant, however.

We've visited several times during the early part of December. I only make advance PS for "must do" places and events, or those that are hard to get (such as CRT, CP dinner Package, etc.). I often stop by the resort's Guest Services Desk first thing in the morning and have always been able to get a PS near the time we want to eat that day in a restaurant of our choice. This has occasionally kept us from a 30 - 45 minute wait (based on what I overhear the CMs tell walk-ups).

FWIW, PT and LTT are among the more popular restaurants. You could end up waiting a long time without a PS or you could notice that walk ups are being seated without much of a wait. You just never know. In early December, it's a good bet that you will not need a PS more often than you will need one. Of course, if you want CRT for breakfast or the Chef's Table at V&A, you better have a PS!

You can always cancel a PS if it doesn't work out for you once you get there. My advice (if you really want LTT or PT) is to go ahead and make a PS. Cancel it if the day/time ends doesn't work.

Enjoy your trip!

Just noticed that you didn't say WHEN in December you were planning to visit. If you are going anytime between 12/21/02 and 1/1/03, forget everything I posted above. Make PS arrangements for any meal you plan to eat in an on site sit down restuarant. If you don't, you will eating all your meals at either counter service, off site or in your room!

Enjoy!

Early december........8th-14th. I also wondered if the LTT has seating prior to MVMCP? If so can you use your MVMCP ticket to get into the park? We are doing the MVMCP on a day tha we do not have park tickets!

If there is any place that you really want to eat at, you should make a PS. If you can't make it or change your mind, then you can always cancel. Better to be safe then sorry.

I would go ahead and make a ps for anything that was really important to me. We're going around the same time as you; and we only made ps's for a few things--the rest of the time we'll just try walking up! Last year (same time of year) we only did walk-ups and had incredibly good luck at LTT for lunch, GG for lunch and San Angel Inn for dinner.

LTT does have a dinner before MVMCP; and I'm pretty sure you can use your party ticket to get in for a ps. If you call to make a ps, be sure to tell the cm it's a special event. When I tried to make ours, they told me the only time available was 7:55. But when I said it was a special event I had a much better pick of times! As it turned out, we went with a ps at CRT because that's where the rest of our group wanted to eat! Anyway, hope this helps!
