Well, my initial thread about going in August dealt with my concern about the heat. Now I have a new concern. Rain!!!!! From what I've been reading on here, it seems like there's no way to go in August and not be rained on. Anybody had a dry vacation the last week of August? I am really considering changing to Oct., but this is my DD's birthday trip so I really don't want to. I also don't want to have it ruined by rain though. How bad is it?

It rained every day of our trip last August (last week) but it wasn't bad. It was usually over quickly and it felt good after the heat. Having said that.....If I could go in October i would. I am going back in August but that is my only choice. :wizard:

I don't think your trip will be ruined, but you will definitely have rain, perhaps every day. The good news is that unless the rain is part of a hurricane or tropical storm, it is pretty predictable in that it will come in the mid-afternoon and last anywhere between fifteen minutes and a couple of hours.

It hasn't stopped us from going in August regualrly. Just bring ponchos!
