Going home soon....

Hello all fellow cruisers.....I don't know if any of you guys remember us, but our home burnt down on July 4th. We lost our entire home and all of our belongings, as well as our pets...but we have been given a move in date of February 8th....it has been a long haul....living in a hotel but with the help of our insurance company, contractor and all the people who prayed for us we are almost home.....thanks all for all kind words...and DCL and Disney vacation club were great to us....just unimaginable what they did for us.....thanks all...you just don't know how much you love your home until you do not have it......

And certainly did say prayers for your family, as I am sure many many others here have. It certainly is glad to hear that you have some good news. Congratulations on getting your new home. Now you can lay your head to rest on your pillows. I can not imagine how it is to live that long in hotels.

I didnt know you nor hear of your story but I am very sorry about your loss. Geeze, must have been so rough for you. I hope all goes well and I wish you happiness in your new home.

Yes, I remember you, and how saddened we were for your loss. I can't imagine how difficult these past few months have been for you and your family, and am so relieved to hear that things are looking better for you now. Please keep us posted, as many other DISers on here would like know how things are continuing to come along.

I also remember...you were always a contributor to this board and often wondered how you were doing. Glad to hear that you will be able to move into your new home soon. Did you rebuild in the same spot, or move to a different area?

Hello all...thanks for kind words and good wishes....we have rebuilt on the same place....everything replaced and brand spanking new.....it is beautiful but it did come at a price.....but we are looking forward to going home....

I, like Lisa, was sorry we didn't meet on the 12/4 cruise.

So glad things are looking better for you....it's a new year...I know last year was a bad year for a lot of us on the 12/4 cruise and let's hope this year will be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better for everyone.

So glad that your NEW house will soon be ready...y'all have been troopers...hang in there a little while longer.....

So glad to hear you are almost back in your home. Having a fire is so devestating to the whole family. Our family has finally moved back into our house after having a fire(we were out over 6mo.) The best thing(if there is such a thing) is everyone in the house got out safely!! We had a celebration open house after we moved back in to Thank everyone who help us out after the fire. Bless your family.
