Just booked flights from the 7th -21st April for £599 per person -direct from Glasgow to Orlando. :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

We've been once before to WDW as a family in January 2010 and it was very cold  Hoping we have a much better weather experience this time .

Looking forward to seeing Harry Potter at Universal as it was under wraps on our last visit , Breakfast at cracker barrell and dinner at Sweet tomatoes (as well as Disney of course :goodvibes)

This a special treat from Hubby (who is not as Disney mad as me )as I'm turning 40 next month :lovestruc

Any hotels you'd recommend Wayne ?

We overlap with friends for 3 nights and they are staying at Rosen Inn at Pointe on I Drive. I've found good rates on their own website for all but the last 3 nights

We would probably have gone for Lake Buena Vista or Davenport as we've stayed there before and tend to spend more time at Disney than the other parks

What dates?
What dates and rate for Rosen? I will look and see if I can see cheaper if you have not booked yet.

:cool1: 7th -21st April :cool1:

Our friends are there until 10th so we'd probably stay at the Rosen or stay somewhere close until then but are happy to move after .

The 25% off offer gets me a total price of $697 for 7-18th April . The remaining dates aren't part of the offer date.

This me :surfweb: tonight :thumbsup2

Rosen Inn at Pointe, is that including all taxes? works out at £450.

Same dates(7-18th April) using Octopus travel £394 Less 8% Quidco = £362
Or if you don't want to bother with cashback the best deal is with Travelrepublic at £372
Possibly cheaper with more searching, I just did a very quick search.

Excellent price for direct Glasgow flights:thumbsup2

I am sure the weather will be lovely for you. We have been in April past two years and had great weather - really hoping its the same this year as we will be there too!

Good luck finding somewhere to stay:goodvibes

We decided to book the Rosen Inn at Pointe and are now on the ticket trail :cool1: So many combinations to choose from :rolleyes1

We booked the Rosen Inn through hubbies RBS royalties account as the Travelrepublic price didn't include local taxes.

Tickets wise we are looking at 5 days MYW (with 2 free) from Orlando attractions:thumbsup2

Still pricing our other options but considering SW/BG/AQ and a 14 day Uni/IoA pass. - We really want to do Harry Potter so did consider 1/2 day tickets for just IofA but there doesn't seem much price difference to the 14 day.

Travelrepublic price didn't include local taxes.
UK agents have to include tax in the price they show :confused3
Been using them for years, taxes are always included.
This is what their site says:

What is included in the price?

Hotel and apartment prices shown our websites are shown, based upon the information you supply, inclusive of all taxes, service charges.

Hi Wayne

I thought that too but phoned to query this statementat the end of the hotel description..

It is just a few minutes walk to a diverse selection of restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues. Orlando airport is 16 km from the hotel, Sandford/ FL airport 56 km away and it is 113 km to Tampa airport. The tropical-style rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, Internet access, a double/ king-sized bed, a hire safe, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine and a balcony or terrace. Heating and air conditioning feature as standard. In the tropical grounds are 3 swimming pools, one of which is heated.Children may eat for free. Guests are offered a complimentary shuttle bus service to Universal Studios Orlando, Sea World and Wet 'n' Wild. Fees apply from the date of arrival.

When i asked what fees -she wasn't sure checked with a colleague and said It must be a local tax. She was unable to tell me how much this would be :confused3. Maybe she was new and didn't know and guessed !!

It sounds like you got someone that did not know and just guessed.

I saw teh "Fees apply from the date of arrival.", it has just been added on the end of the description, makes no sense, it comes straight after a statement talking about free things, I guess it should not be there.

No worries though if you are happier booking elsewhere, I just prefer to book with a UK agent gives a total price, the one time I did book direct with a hotel they clobbered me for a resort fee of about $6/day when we arrived.
