I was on the Wonder in April and we were on deck 7 aft. I was wandering one morning by myself, trying to get up to the buffet by way of the very back stairs (right next to the "secret" deck, not the stairs by the elevator). But it only took me to deck 8 and then it stopped. Why didn't they make these stairs all the way up to BBB/Topsiders for easy access?? Or maybe I'm missing something, I'd love to know as we are booked in this same area for next June. Thanks.

There are stairs all the way but not in the middle. The last stairs are on the side of the ship (Starboard?). They come out into Topsiders.

Oh, so you have to go up to deck 8 and walk to the staterooms and the stairway is right there, at the right?

The stairs on deck 8 are down a hallway to the left...then there is a set of stairs that leads right inside Topsider's/BBB by the end of the buffet line. These stairs are only accessible to Topsiders/BBB when the restaurant is open, obviously.

They can be easily missed but are a great way to get to a lower deck from the buffet without having to buck the buffet line traffic back to main stairs.

MJ, when you say the "stairs on deck 8", can you describe them coming from deck 7 aft?

go to the DCL website and click on virtual ship tour (upper right under the search box)
Then click on deck 8 you will see 2 sets of stairs against the walls between rooms 8598 and 8600 and 8094 and 8100. Then if you look on deck 10 in Topsiders you will see where the stairs come up. Though on here it looks like it comes up outside so maybe you can use them all the time?

The stairs go from deck 5 all the way up to Topsiders (actually, they go to 4 but that is normally closed off except for the safety drill). Just walk as far aft as you can go on deck 5 and you will find them; they are inside, not out, and lead up behind the buffet line.
