2) How is the Hayride?

4) Can I burn wood in my BBQ for ambiance; I will miss my fireplace?

Chip and Dale are at the nightly campfire singalong. This is well worth going to if you have kids. They have sing-a-longs, do smores or hot dogs in the large fire pit, and at the end they have a Disney movie.

I've never done the hayride but I've seen it around the campground and it's always full of people so it must be okay.

Campfires are a No No. Yes, I definately miss having one but I've heard people say that there are some very unhappy CMs that will stop by your campsite if you have a fire going. So I'd say "burn your wood in the grill at your own risk - you might get caught, you might get away with it".

I have burned fire wood in the grill many times and have never had anyone complain. They even have a picture in the photo gallery of the latest vacation DVD that shows a huge fire in a grill at a campsite. It is not as nice as a ground fire but it is better than no fire at all. The pressed logs you buy work the best and burn more like a regular fire without having to build a big fire.
