Going Feb. 9th - 16th What will weather be like?

Wondering what the weather will be like and what we'll need to take in the park with us. Will we need jackets in the morning and evening or not? This is our first trip and just not sure what all we need to take.

I leave on Friday for WDW and I am taking sweaters as well as shorts. I have been looking at the forecast on www.weather.com - they give a 10 day forecast so that is what I am using as my guide to help me pack.

We often go in early to mid February and the weather can be tough to predict. It can range from highs in the low 80s (although low 70s is more the norm) to lows in the low 40s (although upper 40s to lower 50s is more the norm). Thus, you will need coats/sweaters and long pants to deal with the cooler mornings and evenings.

I get on there and read it everyday, it changes a little everyday! I love the forecast as of today...highs in the upper 60's and low 70's, and lots of sun!!!! We are packing jeans, sweatshirts, shorts and t-shirts. I figure the mornings and evenings will be chilly, especially if there's a breeze, but the afternoons will be warmer (especially if it's sunny).

I lived in Florida for 25 years, and let me tell you the weather can change drasticly from one day to the next! Bring shorts, but make sure you bring jackets and a couple of sweaters too! We were in Disney last year around the 1st of Feb. and the high was 45!!! (okay, not so cold for all you northerners, but for Floridians, thats cold!)

We were there last year around the same time. We come from Canada so that may skew our undestanding of hot/warm/cold about now, but we found it great. The temp was low 70s but the pools were heated and we went in. I even got a slight tan. We wore shorts and t-shirts, but had jackets and sweaters just in case. One day was quite cold (40s) all day at Epcot, but the next day back to the warmth. We are going a week after you are and I will take jackets and one sweatshirt each. Also two pairs of pants, but the rest -shorts!

The best thing to do for February weather is "layer" - we all wear sweatshirts in the mornings, take them off in the afternoon, put them back on in the evening. We also bring windbreaker-type jackets that fold up small and can be put into a small backpack.
