Going Commando to Chef Mickey's

No, it's not a nudist convention at the Contemporary!! I was wondering if that's how we'd have to travel to get from AKL to Chef Mickey's by 7 AM??

What was I thinking?!? Would we have to be on the bus by 6 AM?? Do they even run that early???

Wow... I had to read this thread ...At first I tought we would be discussing something more.... unique. to quote another DIS'er "Oh, the chaffing".
Anyway, Good Lord, I didn;t even know there was a 6:00 a.m. , you won't see my family opening any park any day, we are night owls.

Just take a taxi about 20 mins before your ADR.

Do taxis stay outside the hotel that early, or do we have to call one?

Bell services will be able to get you a taxi. Call them before you head out the door and it will be there waiting for you when you reach the bell desk. Have a great time!!!

we did the taxi, called from the room, worked great

We took the bus from SSR to MK, and walked to the Contemporary. Luckily for us we were the only people on the bus and the bus driver surprisingly took us directly to the Contemporary.

In hindsight - it would have been worth the money for the taxi.

I have to admit ... you had me at "commando."

I don't think the character breakfast buses run much before 6:30AM, but I could be wrong (I'm wrong a lot).

I would just take a cab from the AKL - someone in bell services will be able to get you one really fast. We took a cab from the Beach Club over to the MK for a behind the scenes tour once at 6:30 in the morning and the cabs were already in front of the hotel. You won't have any trouble getting one and you'll have the peace of mind knowing that you'll make it to Chef Mickey's on time.

just curious....what do taxi's run??? We will be at CSR and might have a few early morning and late night resi's at different resorts and wondering what it would cost to get us back to our hotel if the busses are not running anymore. I have no clue as I have never had to take a cab before.
