My husband will be attending a conference in Orlando in May and I am thinking of going down there with my 2 kids DS 7 DD 5. We are planning on going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. My husband will be at the conference all day and night and won't be able to go to the parks with us. Any suggestions or tips on how to handle the parks with two kids and just little old me?

Thanks,

I've been a few times by myself with my two kids (DS 9 & 2 at the time) and it was great! Just take your time and hit the things they want to do! We took lots of snack breaks and enjoyed ourselves a lot. :mickeybar

I'm sure you 3 will have a great time. :earboy2:

my wife is also going to a conference next week and I'll be left with two boys (2 and 4) for the first 2 1/2 days of our trip. We will be taking in MK, AK. We also plan to take it very slow.

good luck

I know some will say no way. But if it were me alone with two kids. I would get a double stroller so you definately know where they are. Or at least one of them in and a place for your stuff. Some will say they are to old but I don't think you can ever be to safe. Good luck and have fun!

Go, have a good time. I think the double stroller is a great idea. I love the fact that it carries most of the stuff for you. I have my 10 yo wishing for a stroller by the end of the night. I, by myself, will take my 5 youngest into the parks all the time. We will take the boat over to MK, but I usually drive us to the other parks (easier with the jogging stroller, cooler, fanny and backpacks). They are 3, 6, 8, 8, and 10. My 3 yo will not ride anything so I usually sit at the exit with her while the others ride. I trust my 10yo to tell me if the others were not following the rules in line (don't pull on ropes, no climbing and please don't suck the life out of people in line with you) and if they don't, they sit out the next ride with me. I am hoping the 3yo will ride this trip because it is a pain sitting all the time with her. However, my parents will be there with us on the next trip and they will babysit while I take the other 4. You will have a great time, have fun!!!!!!

Thanks for all your suggestions. I was wondering, those of you who have done this, did you ever have a problem with getting all three seated together on rides. Are there certain rides I should avoid? (besides the obvious rides that would have height restrictions for my younger child)

Thanks :Pinkbounc

I went alone last dec w ds 5 and dd 8. I used a double stroller (dd still likes it and It makes it easier. I went in the am (least crowded) and everything was fine.
I just got nervous w the shopping but it worked out. The only hard part was they both fell asleep on the bus coming back to the hotel. I had to wake them up bc I couldn't carry 2. I felt so bad. We are going again in oct so I will make sure we do not stay out late. The only night I'm worried about is MSSHP.
all in all.. t was easier then I expected and This was xmas time.
Enjoy.

I can't think of any rides (especially in Fantasyland) that 2 small children and 1 Adult could not fit on together. The only one that comes to mind is maybe Buzz Lightyear's Ranger Spin, and maybe Spaceship Earth. I don't want to sound rude at all, but it all depends on the size of your family. ;)

Not rude at all!! We are all pretty average sized. I did find pictures of some of the attraction seating on AllEars. If anyone is interested here is the link

This should help me out alot.

Thanks for your reply.

If anyone else out there has any other tips or helpful ideas, let me know.
