Good Morning Everyone! :sunny:

I have a quick question about Expedition Everest, for those who have ridden it already! My friend will be going to WDW in May and wants to ride, but her question is, how long are you going backwards? :confused3 Is it a few seconds, is it the same amount of track already travelled? :confused3 Is it longer than what you just travelled? :confused3 Of course I would like to know this too :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your help!!!! :thanks:

The backwards section was the part of the ride that I did *not* enjoy :rolleyes2 .
I would guess that it is perhaps 20 seconds. Part of the technological whiz-bang effect of the ride is that you do NOT go backwards on the same track that you came in on...hard to explain and I will not give a spoiler here, but when you go on the ride you'll see what I mean. (Oh, and you go backwards in the *dark* heheheheh...)

If your friend is leery about going on the ride, I understand. I went on Mission Space *ONCE*. I will go on ExE again. I liked the attraction, the theming is unbelievably detailed and the ride is fun. I'll just plan ahead and be prepared with anti-nausea wristbands and eating some ginger beforehand :teeth: .

agnes!

We just got back and got to ride 3 times. I loved it! I really liked the backwards part. It is a little different since it isnt something your really used to. I was surprised by how many comments (at least 5) I heard asking if it went upside down during that part from people who just rode it... No, it doesn't go upside down, it is a little disorienting though...very fun...I think it is a good ride for the whole family. I know that my 7 & 9 year olds are going to love it!
