Going back to the other "World" GKTW 3 Big Gives 5/14

I hope you get the dates you want! And hear back from MAW soon!

I saw mention of some character meals. Its sounding like Avy would enjoy a princess meal, but I just had to make a vote for Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club (breakfast only). I've eaten there quite a few times and while I'm not so into the character meals at the moment (just because I feel weird going without any kids), it is one of my favorites! The characters are (I think) Minnie, Goofy, chip and dale and maybe someone else? Pluto? The interaction there is wonderful, we've always had good service, and the food is pretty darn good too. I prefer it 10x over Chef Mickey's but everyone has their preferences. I like that Cape May is a little more mellow, but still fun if you want it to be. Plus after you eat, you can walk into Epcot through the International Gateway which I just think is fun.

I bet you are so excited to get planning now that you know its really real. :goodvibes

I will look into it but I really think she would like the princesses better.
I can't wait to hear our dates so I can plan.

We are going to be naughty and not tell the kids what day we are leaving just what day we will be in Disney world. We did that last time. It works so much better for our sons that get way to worried about change. ;)

Wow, you are an INCREDIBLE mom! I was catching up on your story, and I am just in awe of you. :)

Avy is a true miracle, and I am so excited for her. I can't wait to hear more about your trip!

If you liked the last one, you will LOVE this!!! :lmao::lmao:

I wish they would hurry up and give you dates...I can hardly wait and it isn't even me! The anticipation is hard, I can't imagine how excited you must be!
I need to live vicariously through you!

I really believe god sent Jason, Avy and maybe even Ella too, so they have a life. I really don't know if they would be alive today if they hadn't come here. :cloud9:
I am one lucky mommy to have these blessings, or should I say treasures because really I love each and every one of my treasures :lovestruc

You need to link me where you are finding the fun pictures.

You are dying I have to keep my mouth shut still. I am still skipping up and down my hallway every time I can to get the excitement level down a little :rotfl2:

We finally have a update :yay::cool1::cheer2:
Avy is officially going to DISNEY WORLD.
They said the hold up was taking Baby Bear off the wish :sad1: The bummer part for me is the WISH GRANTERS want to tell the kids, so I can't spill the beans. They said they are going to bring a cake and balloons so they can tell the kids.
They did ask me to pick dates in May which is when we want to go so I picked May 15-21 so we can do Star Wars weekend on the 20th. The boys will freak out. They said the only day we couldn't go was May 1 it was full
We can't go the weeks before because I found out the kids have their big state tests and I don't want them to miss those. If we can't go around that week I said we would wait till late Sept. or early Oct so we can do the Halloween party.

How am I ever going to sleep tonight  when my insides are doing :yay:

They are full on May 1st? D'oh, thats when we'll be there, lol! I am SO excited that things are well under way and I really hope you get your first choice dates. Fingers crossed you hear from them soon!!!:cool1::yay:

I thought it was weird it was full on May 1st that must be the time to go

Avy needs some prayers.
I think you may have figured this out already but, I am really really worried about her vision right now. I called her Eye surgeon that we saw in Dec and who signed off on her MAW. He said I need to get her to different eye surgeon ASAP tomorrow morning. She goes in at 11:30.
He thinks she has a detached Retina. I was told when she was little if this happened it was all over, she would be blind. My mommy radar has been up for a while but everyone including her vision teacher are not seeing what I seeing so I tried to let it go. I talked with the local eye dr yesterday when I had Ella in for her check up and he said call her dr ASAP. I will feel awful if this is what has been happening for the last 6 weeks. :guilty:
If she does have a detached retina I don't think she will be able to go in May because she can't fly and there is NO way I am driving with 5 kids. :sad2:

She meet with the foot surgeon today. He wants me to call him as soon as we get dates and 30 days before he will cast both legs so they are ready for the trip. We talked about the surgery on her foot and he said he is going to hold off as long as we can keep her in her braces and casting works. The surgery will be a tough one. 3-4 day's in the hospital and both sides of her foot cut open the top cut open and up the back of her leg. With a muscle transplant and many broken bones.

The good news today is NO scoliosis which the wheel chair Eval people were worried about. They didn't like the way she sat in the tester chair. So they ordered her a lot of custom seating to keep her upright. I though it was due to her vision (she can't look at things straight on she has to turn her head) and I was right. :thumbsup2
Next yr he will take x-rays because she is at risk do her her low-tone CP.

NO detached retina!!!!!!
Thank you for your prayers. :cloud9:

I didn't think that was the problem and I was right. The new dr said she thinks Avy just grew and needs a different script again. I need to call her other dr on monday. She only had these glasses for 6 weeks before we noticed the changes. The Dr said we may be running in a lot the next few yrs as her eyes keep changing. Ouch these glasses cost us $500. She needs good ones to protect that eye. The great news is this dr thinks she will always have some sight. The new game plan is to see her every 6 months from now on. She will be watching that retina very close.
The dr said "Do you have any idea how lucky your daughter is to have ANY sight at all." We told her yes the other dr tells us that all the time. princess:
