Hi everyone,
I haven't been on this site in quite some time! We had our honeymoon in WDW and DCL and we went back for our anniversary trips...now we're going back AGAIN, this time with our 6 month old!!!

Anyone have tips for us on traveling to WDW w/ an infant...I'm so nervous about taking her but we're also very excited! We'll be staying at AKL and visiting for only 3 days. Please let me know if you can offer us any tips! THANKS A BUNCH!!!

Check out the families board.
We've been there when our ds was 8 mos and he absolutely loved it. We will be taking our other ds now 9 mos.
As DH and I agree, where else can you take an infant where they can actually go on so many rides.
There is so much to do as a family. You can ride so many of the rides with baby on your lap. And there is so much for the baby to look at. We find it easier than trying to sit on the beach or by a pool.
Have a wonderful trip!

Just got back with DD 7 months. She had a ball!! She was very easy. I just made sure she had plenty of sunscreen and also squirted her with water (she loved it) from the squirting fan thing.

We took our son last Sept when he was 10 months old....he had blast!!

My biggest tip would be, BRING YOUR OWN STROLLER FROM HOME! Ours held all the souvy from the day, and it is more comfortable than what they give you in the parks. Ours lays back so he took naps while we were shopping.

Ride the Rides!!! Our son went on everything, POTC, Alladin, HM, iasw, Pooh, Buzz, The gReat Movie Ride, The animal Kingdom Safari, All the shows (yes all the shows) he loved the sounds, the world showcase rides (mexico, norway)etc...He did it all, and had a blast.

The next tip would be to eat at resturants. Nice and relaxing in the air conditioned rooms.

Anything else just let me know and I will try to help out.

Thanks so much for all the info and tips!

Foolishmortal:: I was planning on taking my stoller from home as well, but planned on using a baby carrier/sling to carry her around in the park...but now that you mentioned it, it'd be better to bring the stroller since it reclines so she can nap! I didn't even realize...but I'm so paranoid that someone will take our stroller if we park it to go on rides...I'm just a worry wart.

I'm excited to bring her on the rides, I myself have never been on the Dumbo ride as many times as we've been there so it'll be our first time! Yay!

I wouldn't worry about someone stealing it at all. we even left souvy's and all in it while riding.

The one thing you should worry about is not being able to find it....lol. We actually ended up putting some colored string on the handlebars so we knew it was ours.

Also make sure you park it in the stoller parking lot at the rides. We made the mistake of putting it somewhere else once and when we got out we thought we had it stolen, but someone kindly moved it to the right area for us.

We also took a sling as well, but used it for all of 10 minutes the first day. It stayed in the hotel room the rest of the trip.

I would bring the carrier and the stroller. We just got back with our 3 month old and he much preferred the carrier but he did sit in the stroller at meal times and nap time. Have a good trip!!

The strollers that Disney Supply's ------ can a 15 month old lay back and take a nap or only sit -up straight? :wizard:

Is your carrier the type that you can throw in the bottom of your carriage?
Then you could take both.
I was really worried about the stroller on my first trip. We actually brought down a cheap one. It was about $40 at kmart. One hand fold recline a decent basket and cup holders. And if someone took it, it wouldn't have been such a big deal.
I read all sorts of things for that trip like tieing a bag with something like trash or a dirty diaper in it, to the carriage. Who would want to touch that! We didn't use that tip but I'm sure it works.
This trip I am carriage shopping again. Thinking of getting the Combi Saavy. It folds so small and it has a carrying strap - great for the busses.
A tip I just thought of - think about ditching the typical diaper bag for a backpack. It will hold more stuff and is easier than holding your diaper bag if you need to take it into an atrraction.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pixiedust:

All the best! I really have no idea what to tell you. Always went to WDW with 3 & above.

However, ENJOY having your baby in WDW... BEFORE they know to start asking for souvinears!!!! ;)

I forgot about that. My wife did this and it was MUCH easier!

LOL...I'm sure we'll get suckered into buying 'cute' souvinears this time as well!!!

Thanks for all the tips on the stroller. DH thought about buying a cheapy stroller, but she's still very young and on the Dining board, they said I can stroll our stroller right into the restuarant. So we're most likely gonna bring ours because it reclines.

I know I'm being paranoid...I'm sure it'll be fine and no one's gonna take it...I mean it is DISNEY WORLD...who the heck would steal...right?! :rolleyes2
