Hi all. We're planing a trip during the first week of April. I've kind of gotten freaked out by the post, basically stating this could be a risky time of year to go.

Anyone want to elaborate on the dates we've chosen? the good the bad... Are dates are flexible... meaning if we need to push the dates back into late march and go during the weekday we can, but I really want to make sure I see fantasimic! at least. Tell me what you think. Thanks!

I dunno why those days would be bad to go?

But I did think of this, which goes to show how I got my username...

The day before you leave, April 1st. Tell the young kid youre taking there that "Well I decided we should leave a day early and go right now!" Then wait a minute for the big APRIL FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLS.

SPRING BREAK!

Expect crowds. My kiddos are off for Spring break the week before Easter. Also, there is a big volleyball tournament in Anaheim on Fri/Sat/Sun with teams coming in from out of state. Families may stay later or come earlier to extend their trip to include a trip to the park.

Late march through the third week of april is just busy at DLR. Spring breaks and tournaments and conventions and all sorts of fun things going on in the area. If you dont mind heavy crowds then you will still have a great time! It can be done :)

I'm not sure what you mean by it being a "risky time of year". By risky, do you mean crowded? I believe your dates fall within the time that some people could be on spring break so it will probably be more crowded than it is at other times but I don't know that it will be super busy either. Everyone has such different times for spring break now that the crowds are more spread out over a period of several weeks. If you want less crowds, go during the week. If you want more shows/parades then go on the weekend. I'm not sure what the entertainment schedule is for those particular days but if they are expecting big crowds they will have more stuff scheduled, even on week days.
