Going alone for 40th Birthday!!!!

I turned 40 last year too, and I don't feel old either!

I'm glad to hear it!!

1968-1969 must have been popular years! There are lots of people on the DIS who turned 40 last year or will turn 40 this year.

Maybe there are lots of people going to celebrate other birthdays but 40 sure seems popular. Or maybe I just notice cause I'm 40 too.

Well, my 40 feels old. Hopefully, all of yours are quite young. I blame it on my hard living in my teens and twenties. It really feels like I'm paying for it now.

Happy belated birthday - and so sorry about the not-so-good parts before and during your trip. I went with my sis for my 40th this past November, and then was able to manage a solo trip Jan. 20-27 (missed your post as I was already there!). My husband was not happy at all (putting it mildly), but I didn't care, I smiled from the minute he left me at the airport until the Magical Express picked me up a week later to go home. Worth every minute and had a wonderful, relaxing, happy (you get the idea) time.
Enjoy when you get to go alone, and try to breathe deeply and contain your excitement when heading towards a park .
