GOH badges?

Do they have these at DL????? I think it would be so fun if my cousin and I could have them there.. TIA again

yes, they are available at DL. After entering the main gates, go through the tunnel on the right, there will be a little shop right there (virtually in the tunnel). I think they were about $5. We loved having them, we had never done it before. (Although it was raining while we were there and we had a hard time keeping them on in places that could be easily seen) The first time a CM greeted me by name, and asked how I was, as if she saw me all the time, I about jumped out of my skin....until I remembered the badge!! LOL I wondered several times if we were treated better or differently because of the badges...can anyone else confirm/deny this? It seemed like a good thing. by the way, the imprinting machine was broken when we first got there, and we had to return to get our badges later in the day...but, they seem to have fixed it pretty quickly....

I do believe they only have the red Mickey GOH badges at DL, though. But yes, they're there

The CMs at DL are always nice, but having those GOH badges will get you that extra special treatment.

GOH = Guest of Honor

It is basically a name badge that looks similar to the Cast Member's name badge. You can get it engraved with your name.

The red one has a red background and a picture of Mickey Mouse (who else?) on it. At the top (or bottom?) it says Guest of Honor and then your name is engraved in the middle of the badge.

At the Disney Studios in WDW, you can get GOH badges in four different styles:

red - Micky Mouse
green - Pooh
blue - Tigger (?)
??? - Minnie Mouse (can't remember for sure the fourth color & character)

At WDW, you can get either a name badge that you wear or the same item as a keychain.

Here's a picture of the one I got at WDW-

Wearing our badges definitely provided some special moments for us being called by our first names. Kind of made you feel like old friends. The characters even autographed my daughter's book "To Emily" since they could clearly see who she was!

We will surely be getting some at DL when we are there in April

I'm pretty sure we were offered the GOH as a keychain at DL as well...but, they didn't have any of the other colors, styles...just several different Mickeys all on red

The GOH badges at DL are all red with Mickey on them (tho' there are still a few without his silouhette breaking the oval, if you have a name they haven't sold out of). They come in badges and keychains.

The GOH badges at WDW come in four colors/characters as follows:

Red - Mickey
Dk. Blue - Minnie
Lt. Blue - Pooh
Green - Tigger

These also come in badge or keychain styles, and are sold at MGM in the 5 & 10.

Do those of you who go to both DL and DW often, do you have several GOH badges, one for each park, or what? I mean, is it bad form to wear a DL badge at DW? (and viceversa) I'm not asking because I'm too cheap to buy more, I thought it might be neat to wear a DL badge at DW...but I wouldn't want to do something socially unacceptable,LOL. What do you think? or what do you do?

We got ours at WDW before DL started selling them. We always wear our WDW badges, and the CMs get a kick out of them since they are different. I've found CMs always very nice & interested when talking about the other Disney parks. No real rivalry, except making sure that the original Magic Kingdom is the best. lol

I found a couple of websites that sell them at an elevated cost, but I think I'm going to do it and make a little pre-trip goodie-bag. Here's the info...

Not sure if there are any others, but these two seem to be quite popular and reputable.

btw, I'm not sure if someone mentioned it earlier, but DL only has red Mickey badges, and WDW offeres Minnie, Tigger, and Pooh.
