GOH badges thru mail order?

I just called the disney merchandise mail order # and the CM told me that they don't send out GOH badges that they have to be bought in the park. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Are there any advantages to having a GOH badge?

I got my DD a Princess one from laughingplacestore.com. I was very happy with it.

The other benefit to having one is that the CM's call your child by name. It makes it neat for them. Or when the Characters are signing an autograph they normally put the name down when they sign. Makes it a little more personal.

You can order them directly from the Days of Christmas store in DTD - this is what I did a few months ago. I believe they were $6 each and they were shipped to my house in about a week. They will ship directly to your house for $8.95 s/h or send them to your resorts gift shop where you can pick them up on arrival.

You cannot order them through Disney's general mail-order merchandise line, as they do not accept orders for personalized items. You have to call the Days of Christmas store directly at (407)828-2042.

I finally got through to Day of Xmas but the CM said they are totally out of them and to check next week. Is this possible? I have checked laughingplace but they was 17.50 for shipping and I can't justify spending that ! Has anyone heard of Days of Christmas ever being sold out?

I was just at the parks yesterday looking for a GOH badge to get for a friend, and I was told they don't have anymore ANYWHERE... the CM I asked said they had been discontinued, and are possibly redesigning them. She was unsure of when they might get anymore in. If you want one, I would suggest trying Gifts of a Lifetime, they might have some left in stock?

I just placed my order with Laughingplace.com and they will ship on Sept 8. That's only one week, and shipping was only $3.00.

I ordered mine from Laughing Place a few weeks ago. They just arrived this week.
