Trying to decide on staying at our favorite, Pop (Value resort and skyliner used a lot) or "bump" up to CBR thinking it would shorten the skyliner ride to HS / Epcot, eliminate the crowd from AoA / Pop.

Which makes me consider if going "moderate", maybe look at POFQ. Basically start each day with bus transportation. Park focus on MK, Epcot, HS

I like POFQ, of the moderates we've stayed at, i think the stay there was the most enjoyable. It's a nice small footprint, only one bus stop, usually has its own busses (i got on one shared bus once) and it's not a super long bus ride anywhere.

I second POFQ. It’s a bus ride for sure, but a really short one to HS and EP, and not too long to MK either. Lovely resort, too.

We shared busses with POR outside of the morning and evening park rush, though. That added quite a bit of travel time unexpectedly.

If you’ve never been to the resorts you mentioned… it’s definitely worth a stay. Port Orleans and Caribbean Beach have some great food options. If you do happen to desire the Skyliner, definitely go for Caribbean Beach.

We like POR better than POFQ but both are great. POR has a better pool and I love the quiet little pathways out to the buses. Both QS are great. POFQ is more compact.

What’s your priority? Will you go to Disney Springs? POFQ shines there. Do you mind the massive size of CBR? Do you like the themes of either?

As for jumping up to a mod will you use the nicer stuff like hot tub, water slide?

You would be downgrading a bit AC wise as CBR & POFQ are window units but upgrading a bit in nicer rooms.

My biggest issues at POFQ were I hated the racket from the AC unit and I’m not a big DS person. So I just kept thinking I should have saved dough and gone to Pop with it’s Skyliner for those days. POFQ was 1 and done- but I’m in the minority. Lots of people enjoy POFQ for moderate level amenities with a small footprint & DS access.

Can’t speak to CBR, do note it doesn’t have elevators.

POFQ, it's my favorite moderate. Small footprint, one bus stop, nice boat ride to DS. And you can use the pools over at Riverside if you want. It's very quiet and relaxing while being fun at the same time!

POFQ is a very nice resort as is POR. It is my personal favorite moderate resort. However, you will be using buses for everything but DS (watercraft). Sometimes buses are shared with POR so that is something to be considered (the combined footprint of both resorts is pretty large).

If you love the skyliner, I would certainly consider CBR. You wouldn’t get away from buses entirely, but at least getting to Epcot and HS will be very convenient.

CB is right next to the Rivera, which has some great food options.

Topolino's for dinner or character breakfast. Or just cocktails and you can watch the fireworks from up there from Epcot.

Their QS is one of the best, Le Petite Cafe in the lobby is excellent for specialty coffee and pastries. Bar Riva by the pools has great food and cocktails.

It has a very pretty special passage way from the Skyliner, with a beautiful fountain and goregous mosaic tile murals.

We like POFQ for its size. It's small, so I'm not hiking all over creation, getting back to my room after an all day park marathon (god help me in Nov, we are at AoA in a LM room). We also like having the boat transportation to DS, and there is a lounge at POFQ which sometimes has live music. CBR is enormous, and it's one of the resorts with an interior bus system, so depending on where your room is, you could end up waiting for a bus to the Skyliner! CSR is my favorite moderate, though!

Try something new!!

I haven't stayed at POFQ or POR so I can only speak to Pop vs CBR! Our experiences at Pop were consistent but our two stays at CBR were like night and day with one being fabulous (2022 - great room location, great experiences with CMs, overall very relaxing and pleasant vibes) and one being our worst resort stay ever (last year - possibly worst room location in Aruba, building felt neglected by housekeeping and had to call/beg for a visit on our second to last day, resort felt more crowded and very chaotic). My only two things I would consider are:

1. CBR is massive and even if you're close to the Skyliner, there are a lot of buildings in awkward locations where you'll have to weave through other buildings or cut through a quiet pool to get on the main walkways to the Skyliner and Centertown. We ended up missing how easy it was to get around Pop!

2. If accessibility is any type of consideration, CBR doesn't have elevators in their buildings. Google tells me that POR is somewhat similar but again, haven't stayed there.

I personally didn't think CBR was worth the extra money vs staying at Pop and we probably won't run back to it any time soon. POFQ is high on our "must-try" list though!

I was not crazy about CBR when I went last year. It was massive and felt like getting anywhere was a hike. I was in the Jamaica building, which is a decent location, but it still took forever to get around.

The rooms also were disappointing. Felt very outdated and the building layout was kind of confusing.

The location of the resort is excellent because of the Skyliner and I liked the main lobby/pool area. However, I left thinking that it wasn't worth the price, which was a shame because I love the Caribbean theme.
