Go with no plans in June????

We're going 6/11-15. We do not have a single ADR (no biggie for us). My only "plan" is that I know which days I'm going to which parks, and I know to arrive at rope drop and maximize my FPs. Other than that, it's wide open.

Sounds exactly how we do it. We will be there 6/19-6/25. We have one ADR for Chef Mickey at 7:50am..after that no other set in stone ressies. We know what park days , and know to be there early and utilize fp's but thats it.For me having 3 kids, its really hard to stick with the set in stone type plans, expecially with a 2 yr old.

I have 'lose' plans. I know what park we are going to on what day. My girls have their 'must do' lists.

When they were smaller, I had very rigid plans because the MUST do the CRT! I had ressies for the character meals.

Now it is two years later and we're going to go with the flow. We have one ressie for BBB and that's it so far.

I usually have notes on which parks on what day from different sources. I have a few ADRs. We haven't toured WDW in June for along time. So this will be kind of new to us also. Our dates are 6/8-6/16. I always make arrival day very flexible with no set agenda. That is a good thing this past week the airlines changed our flight times. We have a noon arrival time. After checking in at CBR we will have CS lunch at the resort or hit AK's Tusker House and see the parade at 4. Head back to CBR just to hang out. Will be up early to visit MGM for SWW the next morning.

Since we go every year we stopped all the ADR's,plans and clip boards years ago. We still have a great time.

I am going for a mini trip June 11-13th for my 21st birthday!
It is my 1st time going to the Disney World, so I do know if I am going about it the right way but I have 2 ADR's set up one Breakfast at Cyrstal Palace for 8:15AM which unfornately is EMH at MK but oh well, and also that day I have ADR's for 1900 Park Fare for 5:40PM. Other than that we just made a list of all the rides and such we want to do, and plan on using fast passes as much as possible.

Coming from a person who isn't very organized and likes to go on the fly, I wouldn't go to June without planning. We've gone in 2004 and 2006, both the first week of June, and had a great time with minimal waits. We still were relaxed and didn't feel like we were rushing.

Besides if you don't plan what would you do with your time before you went? Each trip I spent at least a year thinking and planning. That is the fun part for me.

So, when dh suggested we go in November of 2008 for our dd's 13th birthday, I am a happy camper because now I have a purpose for the next 18 months!!

Now that I know the ropes and tricks maybe I won't get obsessive over it but at least I can have a plan in my head.

I, of course, have ADR's for all the parks! :rotfl2:

I just call and cancel the other 3 ADR's on the bus ride. :rotfl:

ADR's  :rotfl:

So you are the reason that nobody that didn't call at 7am 180 out can get an ADR ;)

I sort of resent that you can no longer get TS as a walk-in. We also found our ADR's frustrating this last trip, and miss the liberation of doing walk-ins.

One thing I'd suggest - if you decide you'd like to try for a few TS, don't be afraid to hit a few resort eateries. On our last trip, we ate at Olivia's, at around 5pm, and it was empty. It was a little pricey, but we split meals and were fine. I had pasta with soup as an appetizer. The soup wasn't the best thing I ever ate (though not bad), but the pasta was quite good, and just the right amount of food.

On another trip we ate at WL for a late breakfast, and again for a spontaneous lunch, and had no trouble getting a table. You won't get CP or Chf M, but most guests generally don't seem to hit the resort eateries at lunch much. And the quiet can be very nice.
