I need some advice from the pros to a novice. I have on my list to get big envies at the store next time I go, but what is the best (cheapest) way to send the envies? One big envie? two small ones? About what does it cost you to send one big one? I mailed two small ones today and they were 1.29 each. Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!

From my experience, it's better to send one big envie rather than two or three smaller ones if you want to save some money on postage. The reason is that you pay .44 for the first ounce. Then each additional ounce is only an additional 17 cents. So that's why the p.o. sells .44 stamps, .61 stamps, .78 stamps, .95 stamps, etc. If you send several smaller envies, you're paying .44 for the first ounce on each one which means you're going to pay more than putting them all in one envelope. Just make sure it's a sturdy envie if it's going to contain a lot of coupons.
Eyor44 mentioned a good tip a while back. If you have a lot of coupons, take a sheet of paper and spread the coupons out evenly in it before you fold the paper. It prevents a big lump in the middle of the envie. A thicker envie (3/4" or less) costs more to mail than a thinner (1/4" or less) one.
If I have a lot of coupons, try to use a manila envelope because they are extremely sturdy and don't rip easily. They go on sale at Walgreens using a store coupon occasionally and quite reasonable that way. I stock up when I see them at a good price.
If you don't have any manila envies, be sure to tape the seams and edges of a white envelope because if it's fairly thick, the white ones rip extremely easily. We've had lots of chubby envies get destroyed or nearly destroyed by the p.o. machines.
HTH a little. (Good question!
