My family will be in Disneyland December 1 which is a Monday. If we want to go to the first fantasy fair showing which I think is 1030 and the park opens at nine how early should we go stand in line? Is this an attraction that gets a line longer than they'll let in?

No sure how early you need to go, but I do remember when we went last june, the line got fairly long and didn't move that fast. There were 3 princesses inside and each person got to take pics and talk a little with each. they won't let the next family in until the previous one is done with that first princess, which could take a few minutes.

If you really don't want to wait that long, I'd say the earlier the better. Plus, I think everyone will be heading to Anna and Elsa first thing so your chances of a shorter line are good. But I haven't been to DL since A&E so I can't confirm. Hopefully someone wiht more experience can

OP is referring to the shows in the theater, not the Royal Hall. I've never paid attention to the show crowds, but there are usually a few people standing outside the theater looking in. You could always do something like, have someone wait in the area, then send everyone else to something close, like Astro Orbitors and come right back so if a crowd does form the person waiting doesn't have to hold a bunch of seats.

I did this yesterday (Friday) for the first show at 10:15. DL opened at 9. There were empty seats in the theater. It was my first time so I cannot generalize to other days or what to expect on Dec 1.

From last week as well as today we were able to get seats to the first show just by walking up before hand. For the best seats, sure, get there 20 minutes early, but last week, on a weekday, it was just over half full. Today it was mostly full but we walked in 20 seconds before it started, literally! They do not allow seating after the show starts, so even if there are empty seats inside you will have people watching from outside.
