So we haven't been on our 2011 trip yet but DH said I could start thinking about planning for 2012 - as in his words "I know how much you enjoy planning it" personally I read that as "I know you are obsessed with Disney so go ahead and plan next year to keep you quiet!" :lmao:

So this trip is going to be DH, me and the kids, MIL, FIL and nephew he will be 8 when we go and it will be his first trip.

I'm thinking as Easter is Early next year we might go for then, but I am waiting to see when our school decides the Easter holidays are going to be next year, the other option is October half term and the week before it. I'd like to only have to take the kids out for a week if possible.

I'm going to focus on DIY as I'm not liking the fact that we don't know where we will be staying this year with the VH package - but it was worth it for the deal that we got!

Let the planning commence!

Planning is definitely the fun bit! :) Course, it's annoying that there's not much to look at for 2012 yet! You should be able to find out next year's school dates by going onto your local council's website and searching.

Good luck and have fun on planning!

Lizzi xx

p.s. I LOVE the men the signature. I met them the week before my wedding in 2007 - feels like a lifetime ago though!

It's probably going to be a lot quieter, if that's what you're after, if you bridge the October half term with the week before it. With Easter falling early it will probably be much busier as Easter will coincide with Spring Break. On the other hand, if you prefer longer park hours, then Easter is the time to go.

Happy planning! :cool1:

I know - but even just knowing that I haven't got to convince him about another trip is fantastic!

Who did you meet NKOTB or BSB? I love them both and I'm just hoping that they bring their collaborative tour to the UK!

2Tiggies - I am going to see what I can do about the shop too, as we are usually busy around Halloween so I may not be able to do the October as we would most likely have to close. These are decisions to be made but it's fun doing so! :) My thoughts about Easter were the same as what you said - but I didn't want to wait 18 months before the next trip! :rotfl:

BSB. NKOTB were marginally before I got into music at all, so whilst I have respect for them, I don't love them like I do BSB. :)

Something else to consider is that if you went in October, there may be the possibility (not guaranteed though) of free Disney Dining for your entire party which could save a small fortune.

I am totally with you on the desire to start planning 2012 and we also haven't been on our 2011 trip either

It's driving me mad that I can't see any prices or book anything yet

We want to go in May 2012 and think we might do DIY (we usually book a package with VH) as I think we could save some money and I can come to you guys for advice :worship:

We're wanting to go in May 2012 as well!! :) I'm off to Disneyland Paris in March this year, which is exciting, but nowhere near as exciting as going back to Florida! I'm already glad I came on this site as there's so much information on finding reasonably priced tickets - I got a bit down after looking at the prices on the main MK website. :)

I've started planning Oct 2012 already - not going to WDW this year (short trip to DLP in March though).

We're a family of 4 going with another family of 7 (possibly 8 depending on 'girlfriend' situation:rotfl:).

Friends found a good villa and we've booked that, I've been volunteered to sort flights, plan parks & book ADRs etc - for 12:scared1: (everything else then) not really moaning they know how much I love it :cloud9:

October 2012 for me too. I'm planning October half term and the week after.:) Can't wait until I can start getting real prices rather than 2011 prices iykwim;)

:worship: That is fantastic, where did you meet them? I love BSB AJ is my fave! I have seen them so many times now, my DD who is 5 can recite their songs, no of course I'm not brainwashing her!

I've worked out the DDP and we wouldn't eat enough to make it viable, we hardly ever eat onsite so I don't really think this would make that much difference to us, also we prefer villa living as we like the extra space, tried hotels but the kids are too small and need their beds earlier than we do so we would end up confined to the room when they went to bed. Unless of course there was a really good 42% offer :rotfl:

I know!! I think I just wanted to know we were going! I am can start looking properly nearer to our trip, but I'm going to get an idea of villas soon, I'd like a fancy one for this trip :goodvibes

:welcome: We love seeing new faces around here - a lot of us have been here for years! :rotfl:

I expect that I will be booking everything on everyones behalf, no doubt I will just ending telling them what they owe - but I can cope with that :thumbsup2

The more I think about it the more this time is appealing to me! I love November, but I don't think we could get away with closing our shop so near to Christmas, we have got a couple of family members who are looking to help us out for love at the moment, but we shall see if they still feel the same way once they've done a couple of days this year first!

OMG Lizzi as if you met BSB's. Gems & I are desperate for the NKOTBSB tour to come here but even when we stalk the buses we never see any1 :confused3

Gem as if you know Easter is early next year already.

October 2013 is a good month for our next trip after April haha U better come or I divorce you as my BFF! :rotfl2::lmao:

OK I am getting over excited now

Anyone know when prices will be out for 2012?

I seem to remember Virgin having a preview brochure out around Feb last year with limited options

Flights are 11 months out aren't they?

Not sure when the Disney site will have 2012 prices, does anyone remember any info from last year?

Sorry if I am hijacking this thread :goodvibes

Most flights are more or less 330 days out (roughly 11 months) from your return day, so not the day you are hoping to leave. I noticed BA released theirs a little before many of the others, followed by CO and Delta, then VA. '

I don't recall a preview brochure, but in 2009 they released the 2010 prices with CO, VH and Disney UK in early April. Last year was also April but slightly later than previously. YOu posted that hot thread re. the DDP changes last year - do you remember when that was, as you had just received your brochure (see, I do pay attention to your threads :rotfl:)

I've been looking at villas with my mum tonight again. They totally have the bug, and have been co-ordinating with my step-siblings to find out who wants to do what. Two of my step-brothers and their partners want to do a week in New York before coming down to Florida for a week. My mum and step-dad want to do a week in Orlando and a week in the everglades, and I'm now thinking of doing a week in the villa for other parks, and then maybe 4-5 days in a disney hotel as just the 3/4 of us!

I met BSB in October 2007. I won a competition to go down to the album launch party of Unbreakable, only the woman who was organising it forgot to post my tickets out, so she apologised by letting me and best friend go into an exclusive meet and greet afterwards. We got about 10-15 minutes just us and them. Best pre-wedding present of my life!! hahaha. They were ALL so lovely and easy to talk to.

Wow, you have an amazing memory :worship:

I had totally forgotten about that thread

I've just checked back and I posted on the day that the new VH brochure launched and it was the 22nd April 2010 so I guess it will be around about the same time

I checked with VH and they tell me that there will be a preview brochure released mid Feb but that only ever has two or three Disney Hotels listed (normally All Stars, Pop, POR and AKL)

I'm soooo excited too. We have finally decided to ditch our DVC purchase (its the annual dues that killed it:sad1:) and just stick with our once every other year option, so, i can now plan plan plan:cool1:.
I kicked it off by calling Disney direct for a price for this August (hoping August 2012 will be the same ish). Firstly, you dont speak to an american call centre any more, so i didnt get the "Have a magical day" at the end of the coversation:sad2:(which always makes me tear up:sad2::sad2:), but she said that May onwards 2012 prices will be available April.Well, for 7 nights AK SV then 10 nights BC, flights, tix etc £8100 :scared1:Best start eating beans on toast every night.

Im so glad to be planning now, life has a purpose again :rotfl2:

We're booked on a cruise in August 2012 so it's August for us. Not ideal due to the weather but hey ho. I've been a bit quiet on the boards due to no trip to book - yet :thumbsup2

I took my DS to see JLS this month and they did a cover of BSB 'Everybody'. Suddenly it seemed as if only the mums were singing - I wonder why :worship:

I'm going to see if that is on You Tube later - were they any good?

I think we may be changing our minds and heading towards Feb half term and a week either side, I think it may be quieter this way. We don't really want to only go for 2 weeks and have most of it as Easter Holidays, with :scared1: crowds! :goodvibes
