Bottom of the 6th and Clements just gave the ballgame over to the Cards. ARRGGHGGGHGHGH.

Well guys, considering where we were at the beginning of August, I'm proud as heck of the Astros! All the experts started predicting the cards going all the way once they got hot at the beginning of the season. We weren't even in the race, yet we passed six teams to take the Wild Card. We got the "never winning a playoff series" monkey off ours backs, and went to a seventh game with the best team in baseball in the NCLS.

There's a good chance Clemens will be back next year, we'll still have Oswalt, Pettitte and Miller will be healed, and Backe has earned a spot on the rotation, which will be one of the best in baseball if we can stay healthy. We also have one of the best closers in Lidge. Drayton has said he will do what he can to try to keep Beltran, who says he likes it here and that keeping this team intact will help with his decision. Opening the checkbook won't hurt either

I'm going to Spring Training for the first time in March, which can't get here soon enough
