Planning a trip to S. Cal next month. Planning to visit SD one day with DW and 8 yo DD and see the zoo then travel up to Legoland 1.5-2d. Then DL 2-3d

Heard about the Go SD card. Is this worth it to cover cost of Zoo and legoland. We have AAA which is good for 10% off both places.

My early reasearch says the card isn't worth it if we're just using it for legoland and zoo (worth it if we do more things) -
3d Go SD - $192 adult, $153 child
vs
Lego 2d - $92 adult, $82 child + Zoo 1d adult $42, CHild $32
(-10%AAA)
Even if we add the aquarium it seems less not to use the card.

Do people agree?

I even found a site that offers the Go SD card at $173 3d adult and $134 3d child but is still more expensive than the individual admissions minus AAA discount.

WOW! I just logged on to Legoland's website to help you compare and I cannot believe their prices!!! I'm literally in shock! I can't believe it's basically the same as Disneyland!

Since the waterpark is not open because it's winter, there's no need to pay for that feature on the tickets. You can just buy the $72 ($62 for kids) ticket if you're going to Legoland alone. You also won't need more than one full day at Legoland because the waterpark is closed. The aquarium takes an hour TOPS if you have really interactive kids interested in sea life, so even if you include that, it would be $87 ($77 for kids). I went through the aquarium in about 20 minutes... It's cute, but meh.

The zoo will be $42 ($32 for kids).

So by all my calculations, just zoo and Legoland (with the aquarium included) would be $129 for adults, $109 for kids.

That's definitely not worth the price of the Go SD card! You'll save $63 per adult and $44 per kid by getting them separate and that's not including your AAA discount.

I'd do a day at the zoo, a day at Legoland, then focus the rest of your time at Disneyland!

Do you have a Costco membership? They have the San Diego Go card for $140 for adults, $110 for kids. We just bought them for our August trip. We will have 5 days in San Diego before going to Disneyland for 3-4 days. We will be doing the Zoo, Seaworld and Legoland (along with the USS Midway, shopping in Old Town and some beach time) so it is worth it for us. If you are onl doing the two attractions I don't think the Go! card is worth it. I would look around for coupons to Legoland, they sometimes have buy one get one free or 1/2 off admissions.

ETA: If you are going to do 2 days at Legoland then the Go! card might be worth it at the Costco price, the adult ticket price would only be a few dollars more (and the child price a few dollars less) and it looks like there may be some dicounts at certain locations with it. It would be worth looking into at least. I would not pay full price for it though. Finding a good coupon to Legoland would still probably be your cheapest option.

Actually i think I've done better as Costco has a $69.99 offer for 3 month pass to Legoland. If we do lego 2 days and the zoo for one this is cheaper than the SD go card.

What exactly is the GO Pass? What's included? Did you see it at your Costco or online?

I live in Utah and looked at our Costco last weekend but only saw a pass that's good for one day each at Sea World, the Zoo and Animal Safari. I think it was $89. But it isn't good past February 28. We are going to San Diego May 5 - 12. Any insight you can provide is appreciated. Thank you. :goodvibes
