We are going the week after Thanksgiving. Arriving Sunday, our last night is Thursday, driving back home (about 8 hours) on Friday. We have 5 day park hoppers. Right now we are not planning on doing MVMCP, just don't know if I see the value for our family. So planning on hopping to MK Wednesday night for fireworks and EMH to have some night time in MK. Thursday we would sleep in, have ADR at Akershus for lunch, then hop to MK for where we have fastpasses for Mine Train at 5 (only one we could find). Then head back to POR, maybe take boat to Disney Springs, maybe check out Yehaw Bob. On one hand, that kind of seems anti climatic, but on the other hand might be good to get to bed at a decent time with the drive the next day. Other options would be to make Wednesday an early night, hop to Epcot to end on illuminations (might do Sunday), HS for Fantasmic (planning on HS Monday night for Osborne lights and maybe Fantasmic) both we did last trip and don't feel are must do's this trip, or we could get tickets for MVMCP for our last night. WWYD?

We always end our trip with fireworks in the MK. However, if you don't want to do the party, I think i'd end with Osborne lights since this is supposedly the their last year.

It's official at this point.

Oh, I know. We booked a short Christmas trip because of it. But I wouldn't be surprised if WDW later comes back saying they've moved the lights somewhere else since they made so many people (like me!) book a last minute trip just to see the lights one last time! LOL!

Us too. ;)

I'd go out with a bang! That's what we do. I feel like there are only so many hours that I get to be at WDW and I want to enjoy it as much as possible!

If I was you, I'd either go to Osborne lights or buy tickets for MVMCP the last night.

We are actually going out with a bang on our trip. Our original plan was to visit the parks on our departure day, we have a 16 hour drive, and then leave late that afternoon and drive for a few hours. Instead though I ended up booking another night in a hotel offsite and we will get the most of our last day in WDW, then crash at the offsite hotel for the night before getting up early the next morning to head home. I think it will be easier to leave from a non-Disney hotel just because I won't be as sad.

Since your trip is only 8 hours on Friday, I'd go to MK for a few hours before leaving. Do the non-park ideas for the night before, but get a bit of magic before you leave.

(We live 9ish hours away, and when we drive to WDW, we go to a park for a couple hours....we usually choose DHS...and leave around noon that last day).

my last night is a party night we aren't getting tickets we're going on a different night to MVMCP but we're doing Narcoossee's our last night

We have a 6 hour drive and we go to the parks ON departure day. This September we went to DHS and rode TOT, TSMM, Star Tours, ate lunch at backlot express, rode GMR and RnRC, ate a Mickey ice cream bar and still made it home before dark! So I vote for go out with a bang!

For our last two trips we did Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise on our last night.

I would vote to go out with a bang. My problem is I have to drive back to baton Rouge the next day so I take it easy. This year our last night will be at MK but it is a party night so we will be out there around 7.
