Go or stay???

okay, my husband has been away since wednesday for buisness. Right now he is about 2 hours away at the Syracuse Irish Festival and will be there overnight, come home finally tomorrow. Its a fun time for people with both kids and no kids. He happens to work for Guinness so there is a separate tent for his group and its a great time...everyone brings their kids, they run around and its just a fun time. Free food, free beer (I'm pregnant, but hey, I can eat at least!) From what I've heard. I'm not there, though.

I have an 18 month old son and am 8 weeks pregnant. We just moved into our house here a week ago and know nobody. We're just kind of sitting here twiddling our thumbs.

I could jump in the car and be there in a couple of hours. Stay for a while, go to the hotel (dh said its a fantastic room) once my son gets too tired. DH will stay out late, hey, its his job, but I don't mind going back to the hotel and sleeping with ds earlier.

I know he would be thrilled to see us...he's so sad to have been gone for so long this time.

What to do, what to do....

Or do I just stay here and clean, finish unpacking?

Hmmmm, stay home and clean with a toddler in tow or go have fun at a Festival with hubby.

and the verdict...

I went!!! I did forget to mention a couple of things in my original post. I was dead tired, and my son doesn't travel well. But it all worked out great. I called my dh about 30 miles away to get directions and he was a bit, well, gone already. Oops! Guess I should have called earlier. He was fine though once we got there, and so happy to see us. We had a great time, there was a 9 year old girl and her 7 year old sister that fell in love with Daniel and played with him most of the time we were there...running around, etc. The music was awesome! Looked like a fun time. Next year plan to go and stay longer.
