Hello, Has anyone hear heard of Go KOALA time share rentals¿ I have never heard of them and I was wondering if anyone has used them¿ I am also wondering if it’s a legit company¿ Thank you

I've never heard of it. Remember that any timeshare rental company needs to have timeshare owners offering to rent their points/reservations. They could even advertise places for FREE, but that doesn't mean they actually have it available.

Just a reminder to please remember when posting about other websites, unless you know from previous experience that it is not in our board filter, to post an actual link. While Go KOALA isn't in our filter, if it were, the software would star out the link. meaning that that website could not be discussed on the DISBoards.

Koala has gotten a lot of traction on TUG from owners who rent their time---I'm not sure how many of those are DVC owners, though last I heard they were offering owners competitive rates.

I'm neither a renter nor a rentee, so I haven't looked too carefully.

What is tug¿ Well the reason I am asking is because they have a lot of Disney dvc properties to rent very very cheap. I just don’t know if it’s legit. I am not trying to be taken for a ride.

Thank you for telling me that. I wasn’t trying to advise for them. I am simply asking a question to see if anyone as heard of them or used them or if it’s legit. It’s just a question.

What is tug
TUG is the timeshare user's group: www.tugbbs.com

I would avoid "very cheap" if by "very" you mean "completely out of step with the rest of the market." There are three possibilities:
  1. It's offered by an owner who has no idea of the value of their points.
  2. It's a timeshare exchange week (which is not allowed to be rented)
  3. It's a scam.
Two of those three are bad, and I don't like my odds.

Hello, I just came across your posting. I have used Go Koala to rent reservations and book vacation request made though their Wyndham Request Hub. I would definitely recommend them.

Hi,
I’m too , same as @BONNIEBABE I use koala since last year to rent out my timeshare points. I used the request hub to fulfill people’s request. I’m not sure if they have that for DVC but they have Concierge and Create Your Own Listing programs for the DVC owner. They don’t take lots of commission 2-3%.

I, too, have fulfilled requests through Go Koala multiple times. It is a safe site and trustworthy. You can fulfill Go Koala requests for units if you are a Wyndham owner, as well as post your units owned from other timeshare companies to rent. Great value and they take a low commission. They also provide insurance for possible damages by renters they can discuss with you. Just do it!

It’s a relatively new company and those of us who have used them want to make sure other Timeshare owners know there are options out there. A lot of people have been taken advantage of over the years by Timeshare companies, to include myself, so I want to help others every chance I get. I am a real person who has really used them and I am more than happy to take a call about Go Koala if there’s a doubt! Thanks so much!

Wow! Three newly-registered members all post sequentially to an old thread to tout a company. Coincidence?
At least one of those posters is familiar to me from TUG, where there’s been a lot of discussion re Koala. We’re considering renting out another TS we own and will use Koala if we do.
