Tomorrow is the day I can try and switch our reservations at SSR (home resort) to another location and we are a unsure. This trip is for my dd's sweet sixteen. There will be my husband, myself, dd, and 3 of her friends for a total of 6. We definitely are getting a 2 bedroom. The problem is where to switch to (if we can even do that). My dd and I stayed at BWV and loved it. Loved walking to the Studios and Epcot, loved the activity on the BW at night. The only problem is they have only a 1 bed/with a studio - and not double queens in the studio and only 2 bathrooms. The BCV, I have seen, do have dedicated 2 BR with some having 2Q in the second br., but only 2 bathrooms also. My dd would like to stay there too. I think I am looking at a more practical side and am leaning towards Kidani or BLT just for the extra bathroom. 2 people in each bathroom would get us out earlier in the am, which my dd wants, but is afraid there will not be so much activity back at the ranch after the parks. We stayed in Kidani and loved it..haven't tried BLT yet. She is torn between BCV/BWV and BLT...what would you all suggest?

The odds of getting one of the 25 dedicated two bedroom villas with two queen beds in the second bedroom at BCV is not that great. You have the same problem at BWV, no two bedroom villa is dedicated and has two queens in the second bedroom.

That leaves BLT. If you can get it.

My dd said that they would not mind the having the queen and sofabed. I thought it would be nicer for 2 queens, but hey, it's her and her friends sleeping in it so that part really doesn't bother me. I (as well as my dd) is concerned with only 2 bathrooms instead of 3 at BLT. So is it better to have a better location, or an extra bathroom? I did discuss it with her again, and she would have to share the bathroom with my husband and myself and her 3 friends would have to take the second bathroom. Of course she doesn't want to do that, so that's were our problem lies.

The BLT 2-bdrm has three full bathrooms. One in each room, and one in the entry area. They're beautiful units.

I am a huge fan of BWV because we love having the BW for night time activities and we can walk/boat over for Illuminations at night or watch from our balcony. But with that many teenagers in a 2 bedroom I would try for BLT. The girls can always hop on the monorail to resort hop in the evening or go to MK.

I have 3 teen DD myself and never had a problem with just 1 bathroom, it worked so I think 2 or more is a plus! BWV, BCV or BLT will all be nice. BLT does have the 3rd full bath and I really like the layout 2nd bedroom with 2 queen beds on the opposite end of the villa then the master with its own balcony. My DD prefer BLT since MK is their favorite resort and is typically opened the latest so they can go by themselves till closing. The boats to VWL and campground along with monorail give a lot of options for dinning, shopping or just riding around people watching. I think SSR is a better option then AKV for the DTD options! Lets face it they are gonna have a ball!

My vote would be BLT. We will be at BLT the end of June with our 2 DS and a friend (ages 22 - 26) for a total of 5. We decided the 3rd bathroom was more important than the BW activities.

BLT has great access to transportation modes. The monorail to Epcot. Walkway to MK give you easy bus access to any resort and MK usually has the latest park hours so you can come and go this way fairly easy.

Plus it's WDW!! They will have fun no matter where they stay!

4 teenagers ---- I definitely vote for the extra bathroom!!! And BLT is great! Even if you don't get a MK view...it is so perfect bc you can see the castle everyday and WISHES from TOTWL. So magical for a sweet 16 trip. Have fun!

We love Kadani, but having said that I would just go with either one as long as it has the extra bathroom... 4 teenage girls getting ready at one time... holy cow that would be my worst nightmare. LOL

I throw my hat into the BLT bad wagon as well. The transportation options for the kids is probably the best (walk to MK, monorail to EPCOT) etc.

Have fun and a magical Sweet 16 party!

That would be a fun idea for DD4 in 12 years. :-)

Kidani, is beautiful/ If you book a dedicated 2 br, the second bedroom has 2 queen beds. And there are three baths in the unit. We have stayed in 2 brs there and have loved it. A beautiful resort, great restaurants and pools. Only 2 bus stops, great transportation, and of course, the animals!

I know right? My dd has already warned them that Disney is not a place for makeup and beautiful hair LOLOL...Shower, sunscreen, dress, and maybe swipe on some mascara and lipgloss. The good thing is..the all agreed! I think we are going with BLT if I can get a standard view..if not then then BCV or BWV..wish me luck..I'll know my fate in 1 1/1 hours :worship:

BLT or Kidani. We took my mom, sister and two nieces with us last March. We stayed at BCV and at Kidani in two bedrooms. At the end of the trip, I asked which location everyone loved better. They picked Kidani because of the extra bathroom!

Sounds like you could use the 3rd bathroom! BLT sounds like a magical place for a Sweet Sixteen Party.... Wish it was mine.. Have fun.

BLT all the WAY!!! Location AND extra bathroom!!!!

BLT would be great for teens - walk to MK, monorail to Epcot. TOWL for fireworks one night and maybe a little birthday cake!

you can waitlist for two places per year. so, therefore, i'm pretty sure that means if you have no other waitlist you can put two places on wait for the same time period.

i'd try to waitlist for akv and blt, whatever comes thru first, grab.

we did a 21st for my dd and her bff. there were only 4 of us, and we had two bathrooms, (two studio's) we needed them, between drying the hair and putting on the makeup, and taking showers - whew! I so get needing the extra bathroom!

have a great time!

Just got off with MS...the had 2 BRtook a Lake View BLT (only 2 BR they had). I had to do that one time purchase b/c we were 6 points short. The way I look at it I have BLT with Lake View, extra Bathroom, 2 Q beds in the second br and monorail all for $90. DD is very excited, even though she really wanted BCV or BWV. She thought very hard and decided the extra bathroom is more important. We always wanted to stay there, but the points were too high. Since this is a very special trip, we decided to use all our points and purchase the extra 6. :thumbsup2 Thanks everyone for their suggestions.

I would choose location hands down. While and extra bathroom is nice I would not plan my vacation around a bathroom.

I guess you don't have 4 teenage daughters lolol!

Seriously though, as long as my daughter is happy, that's all that counts since this is her gift. She made the decision, so that's how we went.
