Gnomies Gone Wild

Jackie, I'm happy to report that I'm finally reading the next Lady Emily book. It's really good and I'm almost done with it!

Marc is feeling slightly better today but I'm still taking him to the doctor. Of course I'm taking him to ensure that he gets there. I have never seen him look so awful and it really has me worried. I just want to make sure everything is okay.

Hope Marc is feeling better, Leslie. Let us know. :goodvibes

Jackie... you haven't started planning? :scared1: :) But paying off the trip is awesome!! :thumbsup2

Anyone with fun weekend plans?

The job will be great, Katie. I know it. Either that or you'll win the lottery... :rolleyes1

Can I put in a request for one of the above? :rolleyes1

I have been massively decluttering these days, too! I have tackled the games closet, the craft closet, the cabinet under the kitchen desk, the laundry room, and the garage. I still need to do Chelsea's room, Connor's room, the playroom, and my closet. I have been putting it all off for far too long.

Katie, sorry to hear about the jobs :(. I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason, so maybe the right one is just around the corner.

Christine, can you believe I haven't done a bit of planning? I did pay off the trip on Wednesday, though. :thumbsup2

CP, you are on a roll! I always used to be that way the first couple of weeks of summer break...I got over it after that! :lmao:

I used to feel that way too but with the terrible job luck I have been having for the last couple years, I'm less convinced in "if it's meant to be". I'm sorry to say, it certainly has turned me more cynical which is not at all who I want to be :guilty:

Yay for being paid off!! :cool1:

Anyone with fun weekend plans?

nothing here. We were going to hit the pool today with a friends but his mom wasn't feeling well so the boys and I are hanging out watching movies. Greg is taking the boys to the scouts fishing derby tomorrow which is nice for me :thumbsup2 How about you?

How are Marc and Megs doing?

Hey Gang!!!!

Jen....CONGRATS on the job sweetie!!!! I am so excited for you....we all know you will do such a good job. Is this school somewhat near where you will be living? Can't wait for more details for you!

CP....My decluttering was a little derailed today, which has me so bummed out because I wanted to tackle our bedroom and bathroom. Tom is planning on working on the landscaping tomorrow since he cut down two of our trees/bushes in the front landscaping last week without telling me, so while he is busy FIXING IT I will be busy taking care of those two rooms. :) Megan has had a rough day today with the cast, so Mommy needed to focus on taking care of that first! She has to go back the second week of July for another x-ray to determine what will happen...she could either get the cast off, get the cast off but have to wear a plastic splint for a few weeks, or she could end up in the cast for an additional two weeks after that......you know what we are hoping for!!!! I SO wish we were going to WDW now, but I know we won't change our plans because we already paid our money for OBX. Oh well!!!!

Megan did spend the night at her BFF's house last night, so that helped her out a bit! Tom and I had a "date night"---we went out to a local bar and grill and then rented "Up in the Air" from Redbox. We LOVED that movie....don't know exactly why, but we just did! Good night over here!

Much love and hugs and wishes for good things for all of us---we have to run to her last dance class!!! Next week is the rehearsals, and then the big recital on Friday night....can't wait!!!! :)

Was that "A Poisoned Season"? I liked that one, but I really loved "A Fatal Waltz." Did you take Marc to the doctor today? What was the word on his illness. I hope he feels better soon! :goodvibes

Nope, no planning yet, really. Today I spent four hours in Chelsea's room purging and organizing.

What are you up to this weekend?

Poor Megan!!! Hopefully Megan will get used to it soon.

Don't you just love Redbox? We tried it for the first time last weekend, and I was just amazed (it takes us awhile to catch up to the rest of the world sometimes ). We rented Avatar which I did not love, but Charles did.

Katie, I thought I clicked on your post as well, but I don't see it now. :confused3 Anyway, I really hope something comes through for you soon!

Took Marc to the doctor. Doctor thinks he may have had a severe migraine by the way he described what happen. But he also thinks that he might have a viral infection. Marc says that he has slowly started feeling better today. I have never seen him act like that. It really scared me. Marc is one to power through anything but I got home last night and he was in complete dark with eyes closed. Scary stuff. If he has another one the doctor says they'll do some testing.

He's much more himself now. So I'm leaning towards a migraine and not the viral infection but who knows.

After we ran some errands and stopped by his parents. Gotta love those quick drive by visits!

Glad Marc is feeling better. If it was a migraine, they are the worst things in the world! Charles used to get them all the time, and he would just have to lie still in the dark or it was bad, bad news.

Drive-by visits are perfect!!! ;)

Happy Saturday Gnomies!!

Jen (MM) I hope Meg gets good news from the doctor and you guys will be able to get her cast off sooner than later!! Hope you have fun at the beach!!

Jackie...me thinks you need to come to Pcola and help me declutter...I need help LOL!!!!!

Today is a major work on the house day...much to do so wish me lots of productivity!!

Leslie...knock that final out of the park! So glad Marc is feeling better!!!!!!

Happy Saturday, Jen!!! I have become brutal when it comes to decluttering. If I haven't looked at it in a few years, or it doesn't hold any sentimental value, it's gone. I am really dreading tackling Connor's room, the playroom, and my closet. They are really just beyond help, I think.

Hope you are very productive today, Jen! Just remember -- if you aren't in love with it, chuck it! ;)

Oh I am so jealous of all of your decluttering! Unfortunately, I am married to a man who feels the need to keep everything (and our older child is the same way but I don't feel guilty about getting rid of his stuff) I was so looking forward to the prospect of moving so I would have an excuse to get rid of instead of move the crap!! I know I could still do it but it's harder to get motivated without a good reason!

We have a tornado watch here until 10pm! :scared1: We are not used to these here... I may have to call you weather watchers for advice!

I'm a big fan of decluttering. If you haven't used it and it has no meaning....TOSS IT. :thumbsup2

::yes::

Luckily, Charles is not into saving much of anything. I am the one that holds onto things for decades!

What??? I will have to go check out the weather now! Just remember, C, that a tornado watch just means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form. You must be having some funky weather up there!

C, did you have that horrible storm last night? Marc & I both bolted right of bed and Ruby went under our covers. The poor little kitty was shaking. It was awful. I don't know if I'm cut out to be a mother when I can't handle my cat being scared of a storm. :rotfl2:

That is some crazy weather you guys are getting up there! Stay safe and keep an eye on the weather reports!! We just had a doozy of an afternoon storm and I'm taking a quick break!!!

Packed some boxes, painted a ceiling, stained a door, stained some trim, and the evening encompasses a lot of cleaning...I don't know how I'm going to get all of it done!!

Thanks for all the well wishes on the job guys, it is such a weight off our shoulders! I do have 3 tests I have to past near the end of June so I only have a couple of weeks to study, but the road trip to Michigan coming up should give me plenty of time to review and be quizzed by Prince P himself LOL!!!!!

Alright break time over, I'm going to buy some boxes and back to cleaning LOL!

LL, you would be amazed at what a "brave" front you can put on for kids. Inwardly I can be a screaming loon, but to the kids, I can be like, "Oh, it's just a thunderstorm." :goodvibes

Jen, you put me to shame! Here I was thinking I was doing good, and you have managed to do more in one day than I have done in two weeks.

That makes me feel a little bit better.

:lmao: That makes me laugh.

I'm exhausted but don't want to go to bed. I've been going to bed far too early lately, it makes me feel old.

I can tell I am adjusting to it being summer -- I have been staying up later and sleeping in later all week. However, having said that, it is almost midnight, so I don't think it is too early to head to bed. ;)
