Hey gang...don't have much time to chit chat---BOO---but just wanted to hop on here and say "hi" since I have been MIA since last week. We took a very unexpected but very much needed little trip away on Wednesday evening through Saturday evening down at the Mammoth Cave National Park area in Southeastern KY. I will tell you much more about this---maybe give you a little mini-TR---later, but now need to run to the doctor. Megan was playing at my Mom's Sunday afternoon and fell and broke her left arm. Today we get to go see the Ortho and have it set and casted.....not much fun. So much more to discuss with you all later.....love ya!!!

Thanks guys! We are home now from the day of doctor appointments, and her arm looks just a little like a purple popsicle! She has been quite the trooper over the past couple of days...this has been NO fun considering her sensory issues, but at least the cast is on, and we should be pretty good for the next few weeks. I have to go do some laundry, and get things a little back to normal around here, but I will be back later with much more about our spontaneous getaway, etc.

Weekend wasn't too bad. I just hate having to re-clean everything again after company leaves. It looked like the house exploded when I walked in from work this afternoon, OY! But it's looking better. Crappy part was I had to work yesterday! On a freaking federal holiday! But I got into work early so that I was off by 1:45 and still got 8 hours in. I'll let you all do the math on that one

Jess - I've been there with working all the holidays, I feel your pain.

I'm at school now. I was bad and stopped for mac n' cheese from KFC on the way. Bad, Bad, BAD! I'm never going to lose these 35lbs before Disney. I need stop being dumb about food choices. Luckily I meet with my nutritionist tomorrow, hopefully she can get me back into the swing of things. I know that because I'm so tired and busy I'm making bad choices, now I just need help stopping.

The best thing you can do LL is to make up pre-made snacks in containers, fruit, nuts, etc. And if you cook at night, especially even if it's just the meat, you save yourself tons of time come dinner the next day. You can do it!

Remember, just keep telling yourself, say no to mac and cheese now, means saying yes to Disney food later

Yes I was Anita and Marc's secret DIS meet!! We had a great time together! I'm hoping it works out in the future for us to meet up again, especially at Disney, but also when I head home from TX to KS!

So another interview today at 12:30pm, going to have to find someplace where I won't lose reception. I did the interview yesterday in the rental car and that seemed to work out nicely, not sure what I'm going to do today, but I'll figure it out...maybe I can sit in a coworkers car and give them 10 bucks for gas LOL!!!

Hey Gnomies....I actually have the house all to myself right now....Megan is off at her first slumber party at her best friend's house, Tom is still working, so Max and I are just chilling out! Feels so good for a change!!!

Megan is doing pretty good so far with the cast...except that she tells me at least 4 times a day that she wants her old arm back and the cast off!!! I have been trying to keep her mind off of it by keeping busy with things around the house. She and I spent yesterday and part of today cleaning and reorganizing her room---getting it ready for summer she says! We changed over all the drawers and packed up the old winter clothes. I made sure she could easily access the stuff that she can do the most easily with the cast---made sure the Playdoh was put up and away so as not to tempt her!!! I can't imagine what playdoh stuck in the lining of a waterproof cast would do.....doesn't sound like a good idea at all! I also cleaned out and reorganized her bathroom and the linen closet in the hall. Tomorrow I am moving on to my bathroom and bedroom, and the spare room which is going to be turned into her playroom---we decided to move it upstairs because she really doesn't like going downstairs to play there much anyway. I also want to reorganize the foyer closet and the kitchen. I'm definitely not nesting, but feel like I want to get it all organized and cleaned up once again.

Realizing how many limitations we are going to have now down at the beach, my heart is wishing more than ever that we were heading to WDW instead of OBX on the 19th!!! I am really struggling to get my act in gear to even prepare for this trip. I know you all won't believe this, but I haven't even made a single list yet for it...that should tell you something!!!! Tom and I were just talking the other night how unfortunate it is that we are heading to the beach instead of Disney because he even realized that she wouldn't be as limited to what she could do there---but there is barely ANYTHING she can do at the beach!!! NO FUN AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!

I received an email from one of the principal's at one of the high schools in my county that I have applied to stating that he was still collecting applicants, but would be adding me to the list.....let's keep all fingers crossed that I hear from them soon about an interview and that I win them over with my charm and intellect so much so that they hire me instantly!!! They have a full-time and a part-time position open, and at this point, I would be happy to take either!!!!

Yes for those of you not on Facebook! I was offered a job today to teach High School Science at a high school in Round Rock, TX! Just waiting on the last 2 references to be contacted and then its a go!! I'm very excited about all of this!!!!

I'm in class. Boo Hiss Snarl. So boring. I've been here for 90 minutes and all we've done is take a quiz and now we are on "break". Marc is at home really sick and I feel like I'm wasting my time here. ARGH.

Jen (MM), Poor Megan! I hope she gets used to her cast soon! How long does she have to have it on for? Fingers crossed on the job possibilities! I have been massively decluttering these days, too! I have tackled the games closet, the craft closet, the cabinet under the kitchen desk, the laundry room, and the garage. I still need to do Chelsea's room, Connor's room, the playroom, and my closet. I have been putting it all off for far too long.

Katie, sorry to hear about the jobs . I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason, so maybe the right one is just around the corner.
