GMC Yukon with Hand Control

Can anyone help. We have just been informed by our car hire company that they are unable to put hand controls onto our choice of car and so have upgraded us to a Yukon that can. Question is now will my husband be physically able to get into it? We dont have this style of car in the UK and so were wondering if a fellow Dis'er knew (or could measure) the size of step up into the drivers seat and also the height from the seat to the ground as he can only lift his legs when seated. We have a Citroen C4 and the seat is the perfect height for him to perch on the seat before lifting his legs into the car.

Here a photo and info from the maker if that helps it is a full size suv it going to be a step up to get in not like a car. This will be higher then that car it be a climb not saying it be hard to get into or can't be down just want to show you the difference.

Here the live chat from gmc you could ask them questions because they would know the most. gm has programs for accessible be hikes even giving rebates and offering help on which vehicle is right so they will be able to answer question you want. Thanks for that David. Our car is the Grande C4 Picasso so sits slightly higher off the ground than that your pic. Its 33inches from bottom of door to ground, how much higher would you say the Yukon is - very difficult to tell from a picture without a visual size guide.

If I had to guess I say around 40 I going to look into it and see if I can find the answer.
