One of the members of our party is a GM employee -- she said she thought she got some kind of entrance to a VIP area at Test Track. Has anyone else been to this area? Just curious if it's a front of the line thing or just a lounge area or what... thanks!

We were in the lounge a few years back, it is very cool! There is a door to the right of the fast passes where we went in. But this year you went in thru the gift shop to a service desk in the car area. We were given a pass to go thru the back enterance to the ride, the lounge was not open as it was a Saturday. Didn't try it on the weekday we were there because there was only a 5 min. wait and DH really wanted to go thru the que/pre-show area as we never had. Your friend will need to show her GM employee id, they do check. Not sure how many she can take in with her, we have only done it with immediate family.

That's cool! hmmm...I wonder how I can get my company to sponsor a ride at WDW?

If you are standing in front of TT look up and the windows you see that are looking out towards Spaceship Earth are the GM VIP Lounge. GM employees are offered a free soda and a chance to be backdoored onto the ride. I don't know the rules about how many guests you can bring with you though but most likely it is just limited to your immediate family. The view from the lounge is amazing. If you do get to go up there be sure to have your camera ready!

I worked in the Living Seas VIP Lounge YEARS ago when UTC sponsored the attraction and it was run the same way. It is a gorgeous facility that is now being used by WDW.

There is a single man door behind some bushes to the right of the main entrance. Ask a CM to point it out. Follow the hallway down to the elevator. You have to use the intercom to have the elevator sent down for you. Be sure to have your badge or insurance card with you when you go because they will ask for it.
Once upstairs you sign in and the place will mostly be yours. Most of the times I have used the lounge it was us and maybe one other family. There are windows that look out over FW and some that over look the ride. Free soda and coffee. This is a HUGE perk! Have fun.::yes::
