This will be my first trip to WDW with Celiac Disease, and I am thinking about how I might use my snack credits. Do any of you have favorite gluten free snacks at the resorts or parks? I really appreciate any feedback--having a plan about food helps alleviate some gluten anxiety :)

mickey ice cream bar, gluten free brownie (main street bakery), dole whip, popcorn, milkshakes, cupcakes & donuts (baby cakes DTD), nachos

and cheesecake (boardwalk bakery)... Both of my children 11 & 17 were recently diagnosed with Celiacs. Disney does a great job with food... We had some great counter service meals at AKL at POR. Even some gluten free donuts.

We just got back, with three gluten free. Lets see what we used snack credits on...

misc items at food and wine.
dole whip
sundaes
milkshakes
nachos (chips with cheese)
cups of soup
lemon creme puffs at BOG
chocolate coins
character gummies
gluten free brownies
hard boiled eggs
mickey bars (lots of mickey bars)
hummus and veggies
babycakes brownie bites
various drinks, iced mocha, etc

Thanks for the list! Unfortunately a lot of these I can't eat is that I'm lactose intolerant. Sooo wish I could have a dolewhip!

Dole whips don't contain lactose (I'm not even sure that the vanilla version doesn't, but I remember the pineapple one didn't). It does contain sodium caseinate, which is a derivative of milk protein, so it's out for people with dairy allergies, but there's no lactose in it.

Really!!! And all this time I've been avoiding them!!! Ok, will get this first thing next trip. Thanks sooo much!

Enjoy it! Also, I double-checked, and the vanilla and chocolate should both be lactose free (although they have the same dairy derivative in them).

The Boardwalk Bakery has gluten-free cheesecake?!

I am obsessed with the OMG It's Gluten Free! Brownies they are serving now. So much so, I just ordered a case online. lol:cool1:

I ate those, popcorn, Mickey Ice Cream bars. At Tusker House, the Chef brought me out a sampler of desserts that inlcuded a cinnamon donut, blueberry muffin, strawberries, blueberries and a OMG brownie. The donut and Muffin, I believe are the Kinnikinnick brand, I have bought them before and am sure that is what they are.
