We are a gluten free family and usually have the DDP for our trips. this time we are staying at Pop and *if* the free dining is released for the fall we would stay with the Quick Service only dining plan and NOT upgrade this time if it is offered. Does anyone have any experience with options we would have at the different QS locations? I know the chicken tenders rock, and the Pop food court was great, but can we eat for 8 days around The World on only quick service Gluten Free and not just be eating chicken tenders (which, BTW, my daughter would prefer...she would eat them all day every day if she could :rotfl:). Specifically in EPCOT or Hollywood studios!

TIA!

Most QS that serve hamburgers and hot dogs should have GF buns. Sunshine Seasons in Epcot has several options and an allergy wall with lots of goodies. You should be able to get GF pizza at Pizza Planet in HS.

Here are some of the QS places that I like at Epcot:

Sunshine Seasons: Good options in the grill section of the restaurant, including fish, chicken, and pork chops. Sides usually include rice and veggies. They also carry a lot of the Enjoy Life! Products now including cookies and Boom Boom bars. For adults, they have Redbridge GF beer.
Liberty Inn: They have allergy friendly chicken tenders and fries. They bake them to avoid cross contamination (they don't have a dedicated GF fryer).
La Hacienda de San Angel (QS Lunch): They have great chicken tacos here and guacamole! However, this might be a bit too exotic for kids and/or picky eaters.
Electric Umbrella: Good for burgers, and they also have the OMG I can't believe it's GF products here.
Tangeriene Cafe: Another one with exotic fare. If you like this kind of food, you'll have some decent GF options (I'm DF too and am pretty limited here). Hummus is excellent.

Here are some that I like at Hollywood Studios:

ABC Commissary: Has chicken sandwiches and allergy friendly chicken tenders and fries (they have a dedicated GF fryer). I know in the past they could do the buffalo chicken sandwich GF.
Backlot Express: Looks like there menu has changed some, but in the past, I was able to get a burger and fries here GF.
Toluca Turkey Legs: Ok, all they have are turkey legs, but they are GF and I love them! :lmao:

Hope those help!

YES!! These are exactly the kinds of things I needed to know. :thumbsup2 My kids would seriously be happy with chicken tenders all week, but my husband and I need different choices to make it seem more like a vacation.

Every qs restaurant offers gf food , we have done Disney for the past 9 years and never had a problem my dd is a very picky eater and she has never complained, all you have to do is to speak to the manager and they will advise you what your choices are, to us Disney is one place where we don't have to worry about gluten free food

This is exactly what I was looking for! :thumbsup2 It seems Disney has been changing their suppliers and they are (understandably) reluctant to give out info that might be outdated by the time a person arrives. However, I would really like to know what I might expect to find and where, so I can plan to have us near a good option at lunchtime rather than walking into whatever is nearest and finding that it's one of the places with more limited options. If I was the only one in my family that needed gf I'd probably just make do, but I don't want disappointed kids if I can help it.

It would be great if people would report back on what they are able to eat as they get back. I think we all know better than to just walk in and order based on what someone else ate, but it would be great to have some ideas, kwim?

My sister and my mom both have celiac and are on gf diets and we've always had great meals for counter service. Generally if you just ask before ordering your food at any park, a manager will come out with a binder that has all gluten free options/substitutions for that restaurant. I will point out too that Chef Mickey's can do gluten free mickey waffles if you'd be interested :goodvibes
