Hi all --
I have read (don't remember where) that Toy Story Pizza Planet in Disney/MGM makes good gluten-free pizzas. One of my children is on a strict gluten-free diet and it would be a real treat for him to have pizza while at WDW. So we were thinking of having lunch one day at Pizza Planet.
However I also remember reading (again, can't remember where) that they don't actually make the gluten-free pizzas at Pizza Planet. Instead when you order a gluten-free pizza from pizza planet, the order goes to Mama Melrose's, which is close by or on the other side of the same building. They (Melrose's) make the pizza and it is then brought to the Pizza Planet counter.
Most of our group would prefer to eat somewhere other than Pizza Planet for a better variety of food choices. So I got the following bright idea: We'll pack bag lunches to eat at lunch time, or pick a different counter service restaurant at lunch. Then we'll do the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's for dinner, and my son can get his gluten-free pizza then.
The problem? I don't see gluten-free pizzas on the menu at Mama Melrose's. (Looking at the menu available online.) This whole plan would be kind of pointless if he couldn't get the pizza.
Anybody have any advice or information to share?
David
