After our long 12 hour flight my daughter will need to eat. We are told by Hawaiian airlines they do not provide gluten free food.

So.... I know they have gluten sensitive food at Aulani but do they really have gluten free food that is made with gluten free utensils and made on gluten free counters and or stoves etc?

I know unless you really understand Celiac disease its hard to explain cross contamination but since Aulani is our first stop would hate for her whole trip to be ruined by cross contamination food.

Anyone with Celiac Disease been there or do they really have Gluten free or is it just gluten sensitive.

Thanks!!

I have a son who is milk and egg allergic, so I can relate somewhat! Best thing in Hawaii is that rice is abundant. I'm sure your villa will have a rice cooker. We sometimes bring rice, but we also buy small quantities at Target (my DH is Korean so at home I buy 40lbs bags, and store it in airtight containers).

Knowing Disney, they will be very helpful. Out in town, you will need to be super careful, as soy sauce I think has gluten? It is abundant in everything we eat in Hawaii. I may be wrong, as I don't worry about gluten.

I think they will be good at Aulani - our big challenge used to be the flight (we've taken our kids 10 times, but our son was born on Oahu). I always used to bring safe snacks for the LONG flights. Even in first class, once they were kind enough to bring him a meal from coach, as the first meal wasn't safe at all (chicken with some goop or pasta with cheese).
