My husband and I are doing a quick Paris trip before his business meeting in Zurich early next week. We aren't making it to DLP this trip. But I was hoping you Paris experts might have some advice on being gluten free in Paris :) I have some ideas- like how to say it. We will be hitting the major landmarks in about 3 days but we will sit down for lunch and dinner daily as well. Anyone have suggestions for gluten free dining in Paris. (I have celiac). thanks!

Thank you very much! Awesome!

Np - I'll try and find you some more dinner type places as a lot of them really well known ones seem to be more casual lunchtime affairs.

As I said ^^ a lot of places will tell you or even have noted on the menus what is GF or that they can make GF so you could always contact restaurants by email that you have read about or that were recommended by friends etc and ask them what they could do for you on a evening

You could always ask too over on Trip Advisor as they might know some good ones :goodvibes

Just wanted to stop in and thank you for these links as well! I'll be visiting Paris in February (with a quick day-trip to DLP) so am thrilled to see so many options in the city (I am also coeliac). Would love to hear how you get on VbChristy!

I will report back. I have a new name, so be sure to look for that.

Hi hi. I'm back. It was a quick trip. Sunday we freaked out. It was the day we arrived and needed to find some food close to our hotel. Nothing was open that had listings for gluten free food. We did eventually find something... But really almost every place we asked could accommodate a gf meal. And much of it was really good. We found several places had dedicated fryers for French fries and most could let us know what we could eat. We did go to 2 gf bakeries. Chambelland and noglu. Both were amazing. I didn't eat lunch at noglu but I wish I had. We just took stuff away to eat in our room.

For breakfast we stopped at the grocery store and got fresh squeezed orange juice, ham and cheese and made our own continental breakfast for a fraction of the hotels cost. We stopped at a different Breast place and got my husband a baguette and croissants.

One day for lunch we ate at this pub -Freedom English Pub Champ Elysées- OMG. I had he best apple goat cheese salad with walnuts. They baked the goat cheese on the apple for me since I couldn't have bread. It was amazing! It was off a side street. They have a Facebook page so look them up. The price was great, the service was great and the food was good!

I printed off a sheet I found online discussing that I can't have gluten and what it's found in. A couple times I gave it to the people. The freedom pub people said it was perfect.

So moral of the story, go prepared with something in French saying you can't eat gluten and then just try normal places. I was not glutened during the trip.

At the airport is that Ekki -fast foodish place posted above- they had carry away items that were gluten free.

Have a great trip!

This is great advice, thank you so much. I had heard of noglu and hope to get there but I'll look into Chambelland as well. We have 1 night in Paris then 1 in Val D'Europe so it should be easy enough to manage (I hope!!). Our hotel happens to have a bio supermarket right next to it as well which should be a great help. Now just to figure out DLP!

You have a branch of Exki in the Val d'Europe shopping centre. I often buy things there and haven't been disappointed as yet. The Auchan supermarket in the centre also carries a wide range of gluten free food, all considerably cheaper than the bio shop - la vie claire :)
