I am planning a Dec. trip back to WDW and this will be the frat time I've gone since being diagnosed as gluten intolerant. Trying to plan breakfast options for every day--some that I can plan ahead and do ADRs for and then a whole list of options for days we don't want to plan a lot but that I can use to feel good about getting a safe breakfast. We have the Deluxe Dining Plan, so between credits and snacks, we can make the most of our options. Two adults on this trip, so we don't have to worry much about character breakfasts. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge. SO, what are your favorite options for gluten free breakfast at WDW? I really appreciate all the helpful hints on this board. I'm just a little stressed about a week's worth of dining out gluten free!
I can totally understand being overwhelmed with all of the options and the idea of dining out GF for a week (and avoiding cross contamination or getting gluten unintentionally). But, I can say that WDW is absolutely the best place for food allergies/special diets!

I've been there for a week at a time and eaten all meals out (I'm gluten and dairy free) and never gotten sick from the food. The chefs are really wonderful there and they'll make sure to take those extra steps in assuring your safety and that you have yummy food options.
With that said, here are my favs for breakfast:
Kona: Low-key atmosphere with great options. Best Mickey waffles on property imo! I tend to get the Big Kahuna entree modified here. It's eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, and ham with allergy friendly Mickey waffles. Amazing! Sometimes I think they have to roll me out of there, I'm so stuffed!
Kouzzina: I wasn't so sure I'd like this place the first time I went there, but it's now one of my favs (so much so, the last time I was there, the chef said, "Oh it's you!"...I do live about 1 1/2 hours from WDW now, but still! I guess I really like the place). Their eggs imo are the best on property. They cook them in really high quality Greek extra virgin olive oil (I love those scrambled eggs). They have really good Mickey waffles (allergy friendly) here too. You can also get a cherry maple syrup or plain maple syrup. Yum!
Boma: I just love the African inspired foods there. It's done in such a way that even picky eaters like it--just very easy approachable African flavors. The chefs here are really wonderful (once was able to contact them in advance and arrange for a gluten/dairy free bobotie..omg so amazing!). They (as of May) still carried Kinnikick muffins and donuts (anything that involves a GF donut or muffin count me in!), you can get GF french toast, Mickey waffles, and custom omelets there. They are really wonderful because they'll make almost any buffet item they serve there in the back for you, if you feel concerned about the cross contamination. Definitely a fav!
Of course, there's so many other wonderful places on property, but those are my top picks!
Can't wait to hear where you decide to go!
