Once again the planets have aligned in my favor, and a business trip will be taking me close to a Disney park. 4th time in less than two years! Best. Job. Ever. :)

I will be at DL/DCA 4/6 and 4/7, and I've booked the Fantasmic dinner package at River Belle Terrace.

I need to eat gluten free. Does anyone know what the gluten free options are for Fantasmic at River Belle Terrace?

If you call or email Disney Dining I'm sure they'll be able to tell you what their GF option is

If it's off the regular menu I can tell you that their BBQ Pulled Pork sammie can be made GF and is delicious! I think I had the cole slaw with it.

Turns out they won't tell you what their GF option is. I emailed Special Diets. They replied that they do not provide menu details due to the large number of meals they serve, constant swapping out of menu items, etc.

So I won't find out what their GF options are until I get there.

I know that their chefs are available to discuss my dietary concerns, and that their kitchens are capable of whipping up something per my request. It would just be nice to know ahead of time what they might have.

Well, that stinks! Problem for me is that I'm not only GF, I'm a picky eater! I would NOT be happy to pay those prices to be served fish (ugh!) or a plate full of beans (double ugh) or something. Nor would I be happy to pay those prices only to be served a salad and a piece of plain chicken!

Fingers crossed for you.

I emailed about this too. Big price to not know what you are getting till you get there. I’m surprised no one on the boards has had riverbelle gf to give us an idea.

So I guess lied about being "sure to post an update"! But I do have one. :)

There was no Fantasmic "allergy menu". Rather my waiter brought me both the regular Fantasmic menu and the regular allergy menu. So I was free to order from either. I ended up getting the salad and the half chicken with roasted vegetables and baked beans. I remember the chicken was on both menus. The salad, vegetables and chicken were great. I'm not much of a beans person, so I didn't eat them. For dessert the gluten free options were pretty limited. Other than sorbet my waiter didn't have much to offer. He mentioned some sort of parfait, but then he said they put cookies in it. I really wanted to get the Maleficent dessert, so I asked for that. Gluten or no gluten. Luckily, I'm not celiac. I can handle a little bit of cross contamination. And the Maleficent dessert appeared to be mostly gluten free. It's a ball of chocolate covered mousse that sits on top of some type of thin cookie. The mousse lifted right off the cookie base, so I was able to eat the good stuff and leave the cookie behind. And it was very good, too. I tiny bit spicy in the middle. But just a little kick that I barely noticed. Overall, it was a very nice dinner. I would definitely eat there again.
