I'm trying to decide between 1900 Park Fare and Whispering Canyon for dinner after MK and I'm not sure which one is better? I know they are very different, but we want to try a few new places each time we go and they both look good. I'm the only gluten free person, but we will be going with my two DS's who will have just turned 4 and 1. We tried Chef Mickey's for breakfast this last time and I was very disappointed with what I could eat versus the cost. I felt they had very few choices for me compared to everyone else and it seemed like the chef was bothered to walk me around even! So this time I want to see what others think so I don't have a similar experience. Thanks!

DH is gluten free (Celiac) and we've eaten at WC several times. The all-you-care-to-eat skillet (I think about $30 for dinner) was gluten-free (ribs, chicken, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, BBQ beans, corn-on-the-cob), and they have gluten-free cornbread. He likes ice cream, so we didn't ask about GF desserts other than that. We've only been to 1900PF for breakfast, and they offered him the standard assortment (bacon, eggs, fruit, GF muffins and waffles or pancakes if he wanted)

Thanks for the reply. We really like bbq and I really miss cornbread. But I saw a good review of 1900 Park Fare for gluten free so I'm conflicted and was wondering what others thought based on personal experience. I might have to try Whispering Canyon just for the cornbread

Forgot to mention - the (optional - you can ask them to tone it down if your kids are shy) antics at Whispering Canyon might appeal to your 4-year-old (servers throwing handfuls of straws on the table, stick-pony races, jokes, multiple ketchup bottles), and although he probably won't make it to the first refill, the idea of a bottomless milkshake has quite an appeal to kids.

Oh wow I didn't know about the bottomless milkshake! I think that also has quite an appeal on adults... if I tell my DH about that then we'll for sure be going to whispering canyon!! :rotfl2:

Well, 1900 is one of my favorites for food. It is so yummy for the gluten free choicies (for my taste). I reviewed it with photos in my link in signature if you want to see. It's loud, of course, and the characters are fun. They're a riot! Love it. Loved taking the boat over at a MK day, too. However, Whispering Canyon is ALSO a lot of fun! (I also reviewed the food there in sig link below, but they have a smaller menu than 1900) The servers have great energy and the kids have a good time with the antics. The food is good. I would say that 1900 you can start eating a little faster, for the most part, so tired kids don't have to wait so long. That may be a deciding factor for my family! Both great choices.
