glue sticks??

Ok, I'm totally nuts!
I'm heading to our church camp next week. It's my first time at camp and I'm a cabin counsellor. I'm kinda freaked out about it...

but yet, I get this crazy idea about helping the girls make a scrapbook page! I think it's God's way of making me take my mind off of my fear and give me something constructive to do!

Anyway, my plan is to take 12X12 cardstock, lots of die cuts (made with my sizzix) preprinted Bible verses (our camp verse) and stickers.

Then I'd have them design their pages using two 4X6 pieces of paper to represent there their pictures will go. I'll take lots of pictures at camp and, when I get home, I'll print off a couple for each girl (and mail them to them) Then all they'll have to do is attach their pictures where the 4X6 papers are (I thought of trimming their pictures just a bit so the 4X6 paper pieces would act as a mat.

The question is....when I scrapbook, I use the CM tape runner, but I could just imagine how FAST I'd be running through that with all those girls.

Can I just get glue sticks and have them do it that way? Seems like a lot easier.

Do I need to look for any sort of special glue stick or are plain ol' wal*mart brand ones ok??

You can use glue sticks just make sure they are photo safe or acid free. They sell them at Walmart and they are still pretty cheap. But not all of them at Walmart are photo safe and acid free.

As long as they say acid free, they shoudl be fine. I use glue sticks all the time. It seems that most of them are acid free nowadays, but just make sure.

Thanks. I did pick up a multi-pack at Michael's that says acid free and photo safe. It was in the scrapbooking section, so I figured it'd be ok, but am glad to hear two other people say so!
