Glowy letter effect?

I've struggled my way through and I've finally figured out how to add text to the designs already posted. Can anyone tell me how (or if I even can) add the glowy neon light kind of look to my lettering? I on have word to work on, so maybe I can't?

Not sure what kind of photo editing program you are using...but Photoshop is the best (IMO)...and Alien Skin Eye Candy is my favorite plugin. Alien Skin Eye Candy has a feature in its plugin called "Gradient Glow" it'll add a nice colorful glow behind your text. Other programs have different types of add-ons and features. If you are just using 'Paint' the standard windows program to add "text" to your pictures..you might wanna invest in a photo editing program (expensive) unless you know some illegal downloaders - Otherwise you are very limited in what you can do/add to pictures.

I don't think you have an outer glow option in Word. If you only need it this once you can download the free trial of Photoshop Elements (PSE) from Adobe. It's good for 30 days. After that you'd have to purchase it which you may be able to find a deal on PSE 8 as they just upgraded to ver. 9.
