Hi, I want to get a Glowtini while I'm at WDW but we have decided against ADRs, we're just gonna eat wherever.

Is there anywhere in WDW that I can get a Glowtini without it being a sit-down booked meal?

Thanks for any help :thumbsup2

xx

I know for sure you can get one at the bar at 50's Prime Time Cafe and at the bar at SSR. I would imagine pretty much anywhere with a bar, you can get one. I think I saw it on the drink menu at the Poly bar, too. The trip is a little hazy....too many Glowtinis!!!

If you want to schlep out to the Pop Century Resort - I'm pretty sure the bar there has GlowTinis as well...

As far as I know, most of the on-property lounges carry them. I saw them at the Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge, the Tambu Lounge at the Poly, and the Crew's Cup at the Yacht Club.

The lounge at the Contemporary has them! If it is still there? I know they closed the Concourse Steakhouse but dont know if the lounge is still there. But... yes... the glowtini is there! I had one myself!

Thanks for the replies :thumbsup2

So I can just walk up to any of these places and pop in for a drink? Sorry, I'm a Disney newbie :rotfl:

I believe all resorts have a bar of some sort whether it be an outdoor pool bar or a full one like the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian. At the Hollywood Studios, there is a full bar in the back of the park near the entrance to the Back Lot Tour (there was a rumor this would close for an ice cream place but the bar was still there the last week in September). There's also the bar at the 50s Prime Time but you will have to walk into the restaurant to access that. At the Animal Kingdom the Dawa Bar in Africa is a full bar. Obviously, there are no bars in Magic Kingdom but a quick walk over the the Contemporary will solve that problem.

MY DD had a glowtini at R&C about a year ago. If you are happy with fruit juice and a glow cube, then you should get one, but overall it was quite a disappointment to her. I imagine it may vary depending on where you get it. They are in all of the lounge drink menus.

If you want a drink that is delicious AND packs a punch so to speak, my DW and DD had Grand Marnier slushes last week during the F&W festival and really liked them. :thumbsup2

last november when i was at DHS, there was a little bar stand set up outside of the Sci-Fi, (you can also go inside to their bar and get it to go). they have glowtinis and other really good drinks with glow ice cubes. I flirted a little with the bartender and got a nice strong drink.

whats a glowtini?

Per wikipedia (when in doubt, check wikipedia):

The Glowtini is a cocktail inspired by the Year of a Million Dreams celebration at Walt Disney World Resort, and some Disneyland Resort locations. Served at restaurants all over Disney World, it consists of Skyy Citrus Vodka, Blue Curacao, peach schnapps, Sweet-N-Sour, and pineapple juice garnished with a souvenir glow cube. It is the winner of the 2008 Cheers Awards for Beverage Excellence in the category of Best Chain Signature Drink. This award is among the adult beverage industry's highest honor for beverage program operators in chain and multi-concept restaurant companies, and winners are selected by a judging panel composed of leading beverage professionals and members of the Cheers Beverage Conference team.
